I have heard a lot of players damn Diablo 3.
This is true.

But hilirious enough, Most player would still pay 39.99 dollars for the standard Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls.
And now here the logic does not follow. Or, like, there is no logic. Let's see - let's start in order of importance - "most players"? Says who? Second - "most
players" - duh, a lot of people may not like D3 but there are still people playing it. We can have a very brief think and come up with the conclusion that some people still like D3. So therefore, why won't they like the expansion? Onto the next, what exactly is funny about that? It's how things go - some people dislike a game (or even a movie, book, whatever), others don't. And somebody not liking a product doesn't make it funny that another person who does...well, likes it.
And now to a more major point - Reaper of Souls comes with a whole legion of changes. The experience is supposed to be vastly different than the vanilla D3 - in fact, some would even say "improved". From what I've seen, Blizzard started addressing issues people had with D3 there - the auction house is gone, the drops are readjusted and improved, there are actually random generated levels, etc. It now looks more like D2 which is
still a measuring stick in the ARPG world. Heck, it's probably
the measuring stick - most top down hack'n'slash ARPGs I've seen have been compared and contrasted to D2 even to this day. Indeed, this was the core of a lot of the criticism to D3 - it was too different from its predecessor. So in conclusion - not liking D3 but being interested in RoS is not actually "strange" or, dare I say it - "hilarious". Blizzard are not stupid, you know...well, OK, maybe it's better to say not
very stupid - they do listen to feedback and they aim to improve.

I'd go ahead and assume that's supposed to be a question. I don't know - I'm on the fence. I may get it to play it with a friend. I do think the changes are good, and I was one of the people who hasn't played D3, though I had other more personal reasons not to, even before error 37, the RMAH and other commonly cited stuff. I think I could say that my concerns were somewhat addressed, so therefore, I can now give it a go. The problem now is if I want to or not but as I said, I may get it to play with a friend - I doubt I'll get it if I will be playing alone.
