There are millions of people that use this sight. Chances are that some of them are fluent in Java and other programming languages to make and compile games. You or I may have not but someone might have.
I would have done had I not already been focusing my efforts on other projects - besides, the prize for all the work to make a decent game doesn't seem worth it (by which I mean not making a 2D platformer) - why would I want Yahtzee to insult whatever I had created for him - thats just cruel...
Is anyone in this damn competition? Are you telling me out of the millions of people on this site that there aren't more people doing this thing?
On a side note, I would enter but I know nothing about programming, so there's that tiny setback.

There was a thread awhile ago with quite afew people asking the specifics of the rules.
They have most likely gone off to make the game they had planned, programming takes a long time, and they need to fix bugs and all that. I was going to give it a go but don't have the time and I would have needed an artist, but there is defiantly going to be a few entrys. Maybe not from the forum people, but there will be.

LOTS of people will see the winning game, they will have abit of publicity for awhile at least, that kind of potential to be picked up for other projects is quite a good prize.D_987 said:

My brother considered it, as he's pretty good with Action Script. But he didn't want to sign his rights away, so no luck with that.
The only reason people would do it would be so Yahtzee could out with the funnies, except now directed at them. Similar fuzzy, warm feeling that you get when you join a completely random server and everyone talks about you.
