I know next to nothing about the game. Buying it tommorow, regardless. My experience with the game will be pure and untainted by hype.

Wild West GTA? I really don't see the appeal. But I'm sure it's a good game, that's what everyone keeps saying anyway.

This, FFXIII and Demon's Souls may actually finally out balance the fact that PS3 has no real PS2 backwards compatibility...

This game is awesome. And I can't wait for all the haters to eat their hats when their hero, Yahtzee, says this game is awesome.

I've been playing almost non stop since launch and I'm a fan of all the big hitters. This is GOTY, without a doubt.

The multiplayer alone is like a complete game unto itself. Anyone who doesn't like this game is hating, plain and simple, or they don't dig cowboys.

The leap from GTA IV to this is astounding. Anyone who says it's the same game with horses cut and pasted is a flat out moron for spouting off about something without any idea what they're talking about.

Can you hunt animals and skin them to earn money in GTA IV? No?

Well, can you use that money to buy items, aside from just clothes and weapons, like animal bait, and horse pills, etc, etc? No?

Ok, well, can you play blackjack, hold'em, liar's dice, five finger fillet or horseshoes for money and fame? No?

Didn't think so.

Again, mark my words, GOTY. I honestly feel terrible that others outside of North America don't get to play yet.

But, on the upside, you get to avoid the "Beta-beta testing" that was the first day or two online. And R*'s already on it, patching it in the first day, eliminating most of my issues with network connection loss.

It's been what, over 5 years since the first game came out on the god damn PS2, so while i've been waiting a long time it hasn't really affected my mental health in the same way other people seem to be acting like it has.

If the release date of a game can bring you people such inner turmoil then you really need to re-asses your life.....

But still it looks fucking awesome!!

Nah, I do intend to pick it up but I'm currently playing through MGS4 on Big Boss Extreme, going for a no kills or alarms play through. Then after that I think I probably should get back to FFXIII, not even a third of the way through on that. Then, maybe then I'll let myself get it. Looking forward to it though, I do like ze cowboyz.

It was killing me till the 18th(when I thought it was being released, and I went in and found otherwise), then I raged a bit and got over it.

Red Dead What? What a stupid name for a game project. Hope they have the good sense to change it before release.
Dear Lord... you can't be serious... FIRSTLY, the prequel, Red Dead Revolver came out in 2004, SECONDLY how can you only have heard about this game now? it's been advertised so heavily!

OT: I want to get this game, but I'mma probably have to wait... no money at the moment (not enough at least).

like many before, the fact that I usually get pre-orders on a Thursday makes the waiting even worse! that said, it's the limited edition for a mere £2.86 more than standard price, and a great £7.13 less than the RRP for limited, AND it gets delivered on time, I don't have to leave my house.

So on reflection, I can manage it just another day... only barely though.

The wait is killing me. Especially since, as an admin of the Escapist Red Dead Redemption Group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Red-Dead-Redeemers?edit=1], I'm helping all its North American members exchange gaming details to play with each other, having all this fun without me.

I want my fun with the game already! Humph.

[sub][sub]That plug wasn't very subtle, was it?[/sub][/sub]

Don't worry, bud. You'll be hitting the plains in no time and those waiting hours will be looooooong forgotten. ^_^

And yes, it was a perfectly subtle plug for the Escapist Red Dead Redemption Group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Red-Dead-Redeemers?edit=1]. So subtle, in fact, that I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore.

Yeah, pretty excited about it alright.

Nothing will be as painful as the wait for New Vegas though.
