Yep, from the motherboard to the monitor, everything was bought individually.

My dad built it =D.

I'm really lucky to have someone who's so skilled with computers as a father.
He probably built me a +2000? computer with my old pc and about 500? worth of components :)

I chose the third option, because I told Alienware how to build it and they did.

Also, I gutted it and replaced all the parts over time. The only thing in it that's original is the chassis and the disk drive.

No. It was built by EXPERTS at Dell.

Although I do maintain it myself when required.

Also, I did Overclock my old system.

Nope, I'm actually reading a book about building a PC.
I'm going to give it a try on something simple (and really cheap).

I built my desktop, but not my laptop.
I've been building my own computers since I was around 12.

I helped a friend of mine build it, then four years later (now) my laptop died and he was moving far away and didn't want to pay to ship it, so i bought it off of him the entire thing seemed a little weird but yes in a sort of roundabout way i half-built mine. I'm not gonna get into specs as they're fairly laughable

Built my own. Inside one of these.

This one? I bought it quite a few years ago fully built and use it mainly as a working station (although graphics have been updated to serve my needs).
But I've built the other three PCs in this house game-ready, even if they are not used as gaming PCs. Dual core, decent graphic card and stuff, I don't remember everything at the moment and quite frankly it's not that impressive anyway I guess.

I built my rig by hand a few years ago and it crapped out on me last week, which means upgrade time.

My current specs are:
Core

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5400
Motherboard: ASUS P5N-D Green
GPU: nVidia 9500GT(OC)
HDD: 500GB SATAII
RAM: 4GB DDR2 800
PSU: Antec SomethingOrOtherThatCameWithMyCase
CD/DVD: Samsung CD/DVD
Cooling: Stock
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional

Peripheral

Monitor: Acer 20" @ 1600x900
Mouse: Standard wired mouse
Keyboard: Even more standard wired keyboard
Case: Antec InsertModelHere

It's a little old, but it works perfectly.
