I didn't import bc of platform change, but the second time around I attempted to recreate Commander William Adama, and failed.

Technically yes.

He still looked pretty much the same.

Just some adjustments, like changing the nose and trying to get the cheekbones right.

I upgraded from this: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a355/suijen/Mass%20Effect/MassEffect2.jpg

to this: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a355/suijen/Mass%20Effect/MassEffect22010-09-0502-54-04-68.jpg

She's now much more attractive. I might change her look again as I've seen some pretty attractive avatars floating around.

Well mine's backstory is that she ran a gang of other kids on the streets. She saw a lot of things that she was powerless to stop as a child and teenager, child prostitution, rape, brutal murders, and she hated that she was powerless to stop them. This made her bitter and angry against criminals who seemed to show no remorse, and she punished those who gave her shit with extreme prejudice.

However, she always defended the innocent, and after being conscripted in the Alliance (it was either that or prison) she made the most of her situation and quickly ascended the ranks to Commander by showing her willingness to do anything to get the job done. When presented with the battle on Torfan, she slaughtered Batarians without a second thought (especially knowing that most of them were slavers and raiders), becoming infamous in the process, but praised for her efficiency.

All this made the Alliance and the Counsel consider her perfect for the position of SPECTRE, and the rest is history.

Secretly, she hides the fact that she's thousands of years old and was sent to protect humanity from being destroyed. She had been through so many relationships and situations in the past that absolutely nothing could surprise her anymore. She is one of the last amongst her kind, the rest having had children and given up their immortality. This is why she chose not to hook up with any human member of her squad (and was annoyed by Liara and Tali for being so young and naive) and chose to be with Garrus, someone who was similar to her and understood the pain of loss and making very hard choices.

Why? Where did your Shepherd come from?

I gave him more scars, to reflect the traumatic surgery.
Also, I changed him from Soldier to Biotic and therefore ruled the galaxy.

Wow. Your Shep is a baby.

I guess I'm the weird one for always making my characters look like their in the mid 30s to 40s. My FemShep is a cougar.

Well, in 1, he looked a normal guy, but without a jaw.

In 2, Cerberus gave hima jaw, and all was good in said hood.

For the majority of my playthroughs, I have kept the exact same face (Both in 1 and 2, I always play with the same Shepard). However, more recently, I noticed that his complexion made him look far too tired and battle worn, which for ME1 was ok as he had had a long and hard carrier so far, but in ME2, Cerberus decided to refresh him. Changed his complexion only, just so he didn't look too much like a walking dead guy (even though he is).

Eh, i'm still pretty young and have no desire to grow old, that may have an underlying effect. Also all the romance options (excluding Miranda) all seem like they're in their early-mid twenties, being a 40 year old Shepard does give the feel of a badass veteran but I'd feel like a pedophile in that area. (yes I know Liara is 100 something but she physically doesn't resemble it)

Yes, after an hour of dicking about with the settings in Mass Effect 2, when it was incredibly quick for ME1. But I did make her skin 1 shade lighter, as it's tanned in ME1, but fair in ME2. She'll be fair in ME1 as well when I redo her story again.
SS for ME1, since ME2 is on PS3 (I know, burn the heretic, et cetera):

No, but I should have. He ended up looking kinda like Nathan Drake, but with giant monkey lips about an inch in front of his face. He was an ugly ************.

Miranda is 35 in Mass Effect 2, and by standard creepy rule, you can be with anyone above 27.

I did read off the facecode to see what I could change, but I was actually impressed how well it was transferred into Mass Effect 2.

And decided not to change it.

Edit: I just loaded up ME1 to see the difference, and I'm amazed without any changes this is the face that was imported.

Also, what the hell did they do to the walking and running animations in ME2?! My femshep runs and walks like a monkey.

I didn't import since I played ME1 on PC and ME2 on the PS3, but I spent a long time recreating both my Shepards exactly the same when I started each playthrough on the second.
