It has great medicinal uses, its also not that expensive compared to alchohol or a night out.

I wont force it on anyone, but I enjoy it from time to time.

Yes, and I still do.

Despite public opinion, there is no sensible reason why weed shouldn't be legalised. It's just not that bad.

In fact drugs were recently legalised in Portugal (yes you heard me right), and drug use has dropped dramatically.

Give it ten years and hopefully the same thing will happen in the UK. Just think of all the juicy cash the government can get from tax!

No I have not. Since I had surgery I have had access to allot of prescription painkillers, so I have no need for it.

I have not and I don't intend to. But it ought to be legalized just the same. I don't hate my fellow human beings.

I used to, but I grew out of the stuff I guess. Though, it's the only reason my friends and I completed Gran Turismo II when it was released.

Yes I did, still do. Love it, never had any problems with it, you see the thing with marijuana is because it's ment to alter your brain, it has very different affects on people. Some people it fucks, some people can smoke it for 40 years and be perfectly fine. And so everyone knows, Weed isn't addictive till you start using it by yourself and when you stay home and smoke rather than go out with friends. But trust me if you do get addicted like a mate of mine, you're fucked, he's a fricken angry guy if he's not stoned, angry and violent but to me, it's just like alcohol only use it on the weekends and I'll stay good. :)

You realise you have no basis for comparison, right? Not that I have anything against people not wanting to try it, I just found your post a bit preachy.
Please, never doubt the capacity of my mind, or any human mind, to create a vivid world completely unlike our own.
I had to find something to keep me busy while doing Metal Fabrication work... well, something to keep my mind busy.
I wasn't doubting the "capacity of your mind", I was stating the fact that you don't have a basis for comparison. If you haven't experienced something, you can't make comparisons to it. Also, living in a fantasy world while working with tools does not sounds very safe. I wouldn't recommend taking drugs while doing something of that nature. It doesn't sound very responsible, to me. But, hey, what do I know? I'm just a druggy.

Not if Activision has anything to do with it.

Yes, but I honestly don't care for it, just like I don't care for drinking. I am not into downers. I prefer hallucingins(sp?).

there is a difference between not paying attention while using tools and letting your mind wander while using tools.
it wasn't through my mind wandering or lack of attention that got my arm pulled onto the blade of a circular saw, after all :|
points of comparison aren't needed for everything in life. just common sense.
getting hit by a truck is going to hurt more than getting hit by a fist.
I need to suffer neither to know that.
and don't sell yourself short as a 'druggy', I never used it to push you down, so neither should you.
you have your reasons, I have mine.

Yeah I do, only once a month or so. I realized that I'm apparently part of a rare group of people who aren't actually better at my instrument when I'm high. It's funny though, three of the professors at my school smoke and they're all professional musicians. One does it for creativity and one does it for his glaucoma, and they're killin players.

Nope, never have and never will. I don't mind if other people do it just as long as they keep it away from me, much like smoking. It's their choice and I just don't really like drugs.

I'm skinning up right now :)
I prefer to smoke weed when chilling out with a few friends and watching a film, or while playing computer games (although I prefer alcohol for shooters).

I agree, there was an investigation into the most dangerous drugs in Britain that found alcohol to be 5th, tobacco 7th and weed 11th. Then the government made it a class B drug instead of a class C against scientific advice. Personally I think this was done to curry votes. there are a lot of people out there who know nothing about the stuff and just think 'drug=bad'.

There was a similar argument for bringing in the 24 hour licencing laws in 2003. This was because the forced closing time made people drink a lot more. When bars and pubs could stay open later the alcohol use went down because people were able to relax with their drink.

And, yes, the amount of money the government could get is stupid. They could tax it just as much as alcohol but wouldn't have as many problems from it.

I have, but I didn't like it all that much. Totally lost all concentration and short-term memory. It actually got kind of annoying.

Though it does make any TV show you happen to be watching completely epic.
