Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad was the only shooter I bought this year.
hugely underrated game. It really gets your heart pounding with graphics turned to max and a surround sound headset. Tons of realism with a sprinkle of COD-style arcade.

Might have bought Battlefield 3 if it wasn't for Origin.

Personally I was hoping for space-combat-sim season 2012. Freelancer 2, X-Wing 2, TIE Fighter 2, etc... it'll be grand.

I'd also be happy with survival horror season 2012.

Maybeeeeee...?

Although it's the only game I bought in shooter season 2011, the others were just far too "meh" for me.

Gears 3 and Battlefield 3. Mainly because I've always stated that multiplayer is much more fun when you have friends as team-mates. But then along came Skyrim and the squad disbanded and well...

Yes I got Serious Sam 3, because it was the least gray / brown of them all and this one is actually fast paced fun, tho they didn't quite get away from the "yay military" infection.

I bought BF3, and also Killing Floor if you're accepting zombie games.
I also played some Crisis 2 while at a friends house, so thats between 1 and 3 participations in shooter season.

Kind of...I got BF3, but it was primarily to play with the jets and choppers. Just got my jet service star Saturday, time to switch to choppers now.

Yep, got BF3 to hold me over till Skyrim. I figure I'm gonna eventually end up putting more time into the multiplayer than I will in Skyrim, so I bought it to keep it on the Backburner.

Eventually gonna get MW3, as I've been noticeably rage quitting more and more from Battlefield 3.

And... yep. That's how I roll. I get days more of experience out of a shooter than I do an RPG or action adventure. Usually enjoy the experience of an RPG like Skyrim more, but end up needing a time waster like a shooter.

I picked up Gears 3 and MW3 on release, and I'm still enjoying them as much as I can, even though uni has taken over almost all my time.

I'm hoping to pick up Resistance 3 and Hard Reset at some point, though I'm wary of jumping into a series at number 3.

Nope. I'm not a big shooter fan. I would have bought Golden Eye if it was released on PC, because I like James Bond. But all of my money went on single player games like always. The only shooter I'm looking forward to is new Counter Strike in 2012.

I picked up Gears 3 and BF3, both which were worth it. I also grabbed BulletStorm earlier this year, which was great fun at times.
