This angered me. I was playing a renegade Shepherd, everything I did was against what Cerberus wanted and yet when I do the opposite of what the Illusive Man wants at the end as I have been doing all game, I get PARAGON points? WTF?

Stupid morality system is stupid.

I destroyed it. It's not so much out of spite for The (Illusive) Man as it is a big ol' F**K YOU to the Collectors. They killed Garrus. And Thane. And Jack. But MOSTLY GARRUS.

Garrus Vakarian, Died in Action assaulting a Collector base: I hope my next playthrough treats you better.

Does anyone else get angry/depressed when they lose a comrade like Garrus or somebody in a game like Mass Effect? I mean, jeez, I yelled "Dammit, no!" when it happened.

Nah, it just seemed too.. idk, risky i guess...
Besides, giving it to cerberus just felt really dumb, they managed to fuck up everything they've ever done, except bringing you back to life, so even if they werent gonna use it to be evil, they'd still somehow mess it up and everyone working on the station would die or something.

Yeah, but that takes out the personal touch that I love.
Dude, they have fat shepard, thin shepard, man shepard, woman shepard, black shepard, white shepard, gay shepard, straight shepard. They got honest shepard, lying shepard, nice shepard, bad shepard, cinnamon shepard, rasberry swirl shepard and low calorie shepard. They have so much Shepard you won't believe it. Somewhere there is a Shepard for you. :)

Well, I was trying to play as an extreme goodie-goodie paragon, so of course I blew the whole thing up.

Still didn't save my two teammates...

I blew it up, but the more I think about it, I'm pretty sure I just did it to give the Illusive Man the finger... It was tempting, though!

My friend was like this when Ashley shot Wrex in Mass Effect 1. He purposefully left he behind to guard the Nuke as revenge.

Thankfully the only person who died for me was Miranda, but she was a *****.

No I have played Overlord and so cant trust Cerberus to ethically control so much as a muffin crumb much less a state of the art satellite filled with super weapons.

I lost 3: Garrus, since I didn't do Samara's mission and had her doing the field, Thane and Jack, because I ignored their loyalty missions (I failed Thane's)

Could you share a link to where you can see what happens if you keep the collector base?
yes, link please?

i kept the base for cerberus, mainly cause i didnt think it would make any difference at all on mass effect 3, thinking it was a huge plotitem and having it or not having it could change a whole lot so i figured it would get neutralised before ME3 actually started.

any choices you made in ME1 had very little impact on ME2, as most things do, you cant be making 2 entirely diff games cause someone picked A over B .... but now you guys say it does matter?

so again, link?

I feel your pain. If I lost Garrus I would be stricken and then proceed to rampage across the galaxy blowing shit up and punching reporters in the face.

I was pissed off at the end. My mostly paragon Shephard had to make a renegade decision because I thought that was right to do. Annoyed me how all the characters then just talked about how bad that decision was.
I wish it wouldn't colour some of the decisions with good or bad and just let you play the game and see what consequences occur because of what you did.

Pfft! He deserved better! I could imagine him in an epic fist fight with the Human Reaper, but now killed by a swarm of bugs...
