i would first take a nail gun and nail him to a wall. then i would make him listen to the "gay barbie girl song" till his head popped with shear maddness. then, id spray paint a orange laymbda sighn on him
minigun: Miniguns are bulky and are not very mobile, would only be good if you're defending a place from zombies
flamethrower: a bit bulky, can be hard to find fuel for ones they used in WW2. Homemade can be unstable if you don't know what you're doing. Plus zombies don't die instantly from fire, you'd have to worry about flaming zombies getting too close.
chainsaw: Effective, but slow, not against a horde
katana: Good for decapitating if you know how to use one effectively
gordon freeman: Fun to watch, but would kinda take the fun out of it.
shovel: Not as good as a katana, but much easier to find lying around
portal gun: Extremely unlikely to find, but has the potential for mass amounts of hilarity.
other: So many other options.
From the choices, I think my love of zombie hilarity will take priority, so Portal gun it is!

And really, you don't need a long range rifle. A .22LR is more than enough. If you really want range, then I'd just stick with standard assault rifle calibers (5.56x45, 7.62x39/51, 6.8, etc). Anything that shoots anything larger is going to be too large and heavy. I can't wait till I can afford to ship a Tavor from Canada. =D
To remain mobile, I'd stick with two main weapons. The first would be the Arctic Warfare Magnum. The Winchester .300 Magnum round is powerful, but lighter than the .338 Lapua Magnum anti material round in the Super Magnum, so dispatching zombies at range is easy. For close range fighting, I'd use the MP-5/10A2 with a silencer. I'd use hollow point rounds, so that I could be as stealthy as possible when the zombies get close, while doing plenty of damage to the soft tissue of the zombies' bodies. I'd also carry a 20 inch Bowie knife with the sides smeared with mud to reduce glare in order to stay invisible. Of course, I'd also have a ghillie suit. Basically a sniper with a good CQC weapon and a damn good knife. Also, I'd find myself a CB radio.

Well, those options are all lame for various reasons. I suppose if it was just one slow zombie version of a person I really hated the flamethrower might be fun, otherwise those options are all insufficient.
The high powered rifle thing might be great, but depending on the type of zombie the bullets could just go right through without causing much damage. A shotgun is guaranteed to kill a zombie. Sure, they might be closer than you would like, but they're still well outside of melee range, so overall shotguns are simply the best zombie killing option unless you know enough about the particular zombies you're facing to deal with their weaknesses more exactly.
