Get both! That's what I plan to do.

They are completely different games so,if you had to choose one,get what intrigues you more.

Reimagining of a cult classic(Xcom) or a Steampunk mix of Thief/Dark Messiah of Might and Magic/Assasin's Creed(somewhat) in a steampunk world with magic.

If I would have to choose between those two I would go with Dishonored because I love the setting.

At least, I will be getting both on launch day. Both look excellent and I actually can afford it, so why the hell not? :D

On a german gaming website there`s a weekly feedback blog. There`s an embargo on Dishonored but two guys there already gave their silent thumbs up. Looks good so far but a sucessfull fun Xcom is also a win. I just hope they both do well since they both look damn promising.

It's awkward to explain I voted Xcom even though I've pre-ordered Dishonored.
I think x-com will probably give you op more value for money from the bit you have said.

I don't really know xcom that well but from what I understand it will last me/most people longer than dishonored, from what I have seen.

Just found out Arkane are the studio that made Dark Messiah (the first person one), this pleases me greatly!

I'll be getting Dishonored first.
Looks fuckin' sweet.

Not much of a strategy game guy myself so while X-Com seems good it doesn't look good enough to not get Dishonored.

Absolutely love stealth and different methods to complete missions, so I'm definitely going for Dishonored. Not a strategy fan much, even though XCOM might seem good, but Dishonored for me passes it for sure.

xcom has a demo you can try on steam, so give that a shot, maybe it'll help you decide
Dear God, no.

That demo was turrible. I'm getting the game in spite of the demo.

X-Com, I haven't had a decent strategy game since I had to downsize to an normal non-gaming laptop.

And I've only budgeted for one game purchase until next year, so well done X-Com you've beaten Borderlands 2, assassins creed 3, Halo 4 and dishonoured. Now don't let me down.

XCOM Enemy Unknown for me.

I would love to get Dishonored, but sadly I'm below the minimum requirements. Which makes me sad. First time this has happened in years, actually. I enjoyed the brief period where I could buy a PC game and know it'd work with my system. Now I'll have to start worrying again.

*sigh*

That's one thing I liked about this console cycle lasting so long. Forced PC games to take a breather when it came to hardware requirements.

Really? The demo sold me on the game. I loved it.

I'm sat on the fence. Dishonoured looks like it could be interesting but i reserve judgement until i've seen it in action. X-COM has everything going for it except every game after Terror from the deep has been poor...so again i'll wait to see it in action first.

Don't jump on the hype wagon, let everyone else waste their cash on it first and make your mind up later when the price drops :)

I didn't want a tutorial. I didn't need a tutorial, dammit. And the "tour" of the base felt totally pointless.

Throw me in to one of the missions that you had playable at PAX or something. Those missions that had me yelling at the stream, "No, you idiot! Don't move there!"

And don't make it friggin' six gigs.

XCOM because it just looks a lot more lovely to me, and I'm burned out on first-person perspective games for a bit. I just want something a bit slower.

I'll be picking up both of them, already pre-ordered XCOM even. Gonna be a good month for gaming I think, two of my favourite oft-overlooked and forgotten genre getting big-budget re-imaginings around the same time? Beautiful.

I hope both games turn out excellent and sell well. I've love to see both genre have a bit of a resurgence, I'm so damned sick of corridor shooters.
