I'm a massive fan of Thief, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex, Hitman and Alpha Protocol, and I found Dishonoured, well, a bit "meh". It just didn't feel, look, or smell right, it is a bit of a Frankenstein's monster of a game, a bit from here, a bit from there, no real cohesion. And it feels limited by console hardware, a game choked by a measly 256Mb of RAM. It is a small game.
I am also a MASSIVE fan of Julian Gollop's masterpiece (The Greatest Game of All-Time) and I still loved every minute of X-Com: Enemy Unknown. I was suspicious at first at the obviously designed-for-consoleyness of the game, but it doesn't matter. Consoleyoleyness or not X-Com is great. Not as good as the original...not as good as JA2 (right Grunty? Ja!) but it has surpassed Silent Storm as the third greatest squad level turn based tactics game of all time.
