Kinda sad too... because some of the cutest girls I've ever seen were red heads, not really ginger... but red heads.
So true. So very true. OT not really... Why should they?

Red hair, freckles and otherwise pale skin - a little yeah.

Auburn or reddish brown hair and normal skin - sexy on a girl.

I have quite a few red-headed friends around the world, so no, not really.

I thought so too. I knew some red headed people and freckled people at school and I can't say I ever saw them get picked on any more/less than anyone else.
You've got to be joking. I'm red headed myself and I'm sick of the whole thing. It's not simply good natured banter, it's from random people in the street who shout and throw things, people who I've never even met before. I'm not here to ***** but what you're saying might be true where you come from but it's not always true.

So obviously my answer is no, otherwise I'd be in a habitual state of self fear (then I'd really need this guy's help).

I think that's more a local phenomenon, I've only heard about it from English or American people. Personally I don't get it. But then, I don't get racism, or sexism either, really, and those seem rampant as well.

So my answer is really that I can't tell. If someone were to demonstrate and explain why I should be freaked out, then maybe. There has to be a reason for it, after all, and if that reason is good enough, then maybe I'll be swayed by it. I doubt it, to be fair, but the possibility is there.

I think the anti-ginger thing is very geographically distributed. Where I live it's pretty much limited to particularly small-minded private boy's schools; but I hear from people living in certain parts of America that it's widespread in their communities.

All i've ever seen is the "carpets match the drapes" line, which I've seen very blonde people get as well.

Regardless of how *common* it is, it's undoubtedly profoundly *stupid*.

<---proud ginger kid

Admit it, I creep you out a little.
With my lurking ways, and my soulless red hair.

I mean I don't creep me out, but I'm sure you're creeped out.
