Sometimes, sex just pops up and I think "that would be nice" and then have to move on with my day. It's not as powerful a suggestion as you might be thinking.
That's pretty much what happens to me. It's doesn't take over my brain, but there are times when it pops up more times than others.

Nah, in fact, it rarely crosses my mind. I'm odd in that aspect though. I find the physical connection with somebody more satisfying than bedding someone. I enjoy just being close to them and knowing we both care for each other.

When I'm with my girlfriend's friends, some of them are my friends, it tends to come up in conversation a lot. When I'm with my guy friends it's hardly ever mentioned, occasional joke maybe.

And I think about sex every other hour or so.

I think about sex like once or twice a day, then i beat it up by saying to myself "I'll never have it so don't get your hopes up". As for other people, I've overheard many conversations with my fellow male companions and sex is quite a popular topic, which often makes me feel a little "ehhhh..."
Also I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN THE MEDIA USES SEX SELLS! I generally think the media really does hate the male gender when they do, What are the marketing department thinking when they make such adverts and the scary thing is... it works... People actually buy their crap because it has a pair of tits on it, and it really offends me because they're just supporting a bad stereotype of men...

*sits for two minutes contemplating on whatever comes to mind* ... (loading) ... okay I can safely tell you it's not true with me, I think about philosophy much more than sex.

Well, it IS hardcoded into our brains...

Though its mostly only happens to guys in the middle of puberty. Around that age, then yes, its basically all we think about. After that... Well, I can't say, since I am still in the former stage.

Well now I am.

Every other minute is a bit of an exaggeration (most of the time, anyway).

Every other hour is more accurate.
I agree with this guy, same thing with me, the thought slips in my head at about that frequency.

Yes, yes they do. Oh wait, you meant in real life, and not in american sitcoms. Then no. No we do not.

Well, personally, the hormones have been coming down pretty damn hard on me. Whenever I see an attractive woman in school, my mind goes:

Mind: You should definetly hit that, man.

Me: You know I can´t, plus that nailing her would most likely lead to having develop an actual relationship first, and you know we don´t have time for that.

Mind: But still, tits.

Me: Yeah, I know, bu-

Mind: TITS

But I still don´t think about it that often. It´s only when I see an attractive female or I´m bored. Other times I usually think of other things.

Well I'm relieved by that. when I asked this question I already knew that not /every/ man thinks about sex all the time but I also knew that there probably were some that did and I wanted to know how many.

Well, males hit their sexual peek alot sooner then females so it's not shocking they'd talk more about sex then females at that age.

None of my male friends go on about sex. They barely mention it, in fact one of my friends dislikes nudity/porn and things related to such.
