I voted "No", just because saying "yes" would've sounded wrong. I try to respect everyone, regardless if I think they're doing something wrong or harmful, so long as they let me.

Btw, nobody should say that to an adult, either.

While it may be mean to say, few people actually mean it. Plenty of people say "go die" or "I'll kill you" to each other when they are mad. These people are just expressing their displeasure with words other than "you suck." However, actually stalking them or sending them death threats IS very wrong.

(personally I dislike both Bieber and Rebecca Black, but Bieber at least deserves success. He has some talent and worked his way from very little. Rebecca Black never was trying for fame. The song wasn't written by her, it was just something her parents paid a recording company to let her do for fun (the company wrote the song and supplied the equipment for the music video).

Edit: Also note that most of the people who say such things are probably children themselves just bullying rather than adults.
you'd be surprised at who all means it.

Honestly, who the fuck cares? It was just some ass hole commenting on Rebecca Black's terrible song. He could have told her to kill her parents first and I wouldn't give two shits.

Honestly, I don't care. Rebbecca Black has possibly created one of the world's greatest monstrosities. People have said a lot worse than that on Youtube, and I still don't care.

Haters gonna hate.

No-one likes successful kids, especially successful kids who got lucky and have little talent but oodles of teen charm.
Sums this up nicely in my opinion.

I don't respect them, but I am not going to throw my arms up and protest that such harsh things be removed from YouTube. I see comments like that shot at everyone on YouTube. I think it boils down to me just not caring.

That kinda behavior is not appropriate towards anyone of any age. It's one of the unwritten rules that wishing harm or death on someone just automatically makes you a dick. That said, honestly, I'd be more worked up if it weren't Youtube. The truth is, the community on that site display the intelligence level of a burning ant and the maturity level of the kid who set it on fire. It's 4Chan with a video server and less porn.

There has been stuff from the site that's made me upset, but none of those occasions were worth the thought I gave them because the only reason people post that stuff is because they can't be attached to a face and can be as much of a reprehensible twat as they want. Try not to think about it.

I thought she said it >.>

Oh and it's the Youtube Comment Section.
You can't expect maturity out of those 3 words, you don't give respect to anyone there except for a rare few and you certainly don't give a damn about someone who got popular 'for all the wrong reasons.' Stupid Youtube, making people with little to no talent money >.>

I think it's kind of patronizing to call someone over 18 a "child". They're young adults, but definitely adults.

There's a difference between saying something to someone and posting something on a company maintained website.
There are plenty of 80 year old children running around on this planet. You don't become an adult just because you reach 18.

No one should say that to anyone, regardless of age =/
Telling someone to commit suicide, or sending death threats just because their music doesn't appeal to you is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. People really need to get a grip.
What else do you expect from Youtubers though?

I had comments like that when I was 13 for a lot less. She's stopped reading such comments I believe, which is for the best. That crap hurts at that age, despite most people saying it for shock value.

I have no respect for such people.

Most of these people are like thirteen themselves.
If they're not they're just fucking children in adult bodies and need to grow the fuck up.

There are far worse people. While there are tons of people out there ruining music, as long as Westboro Church is real, then anything people like her or Beiber do is not as bad for the world...

Now for those Westboro peo...no...those are not people.

Hostile as in violently so? Then no.
Hostile as in very irritated by and calling them out for lack of talent et cetera? Go the hell ahead until your mouth is dry 'cause I do it sometimes.

respect? i dunno... is that ALL they've done? because if they cure cancer THEN "voice a hostile opinion towards a child", meh? assuming something miraculous enough happened for me to respect them in the first place, "voicing a hostile opinion" outside of trolling isn't going to do anything
