...Played through Mass Effect 1 about 4 times (two for each gender so I could have a perfect run via new-game+ to import), Mass Effect 2 three or four times (didn't need the new game+, I just really liked the game), Skyrim 3 times with a completionist angle (All my characters end up doing all the significant questlines...minus the civil war. I only did that once) and I'm considering another run, Bastion at least half a dozen times, Knights of the Old Republic 4 times on PC and once on my phone (All light side sentinels), Deus Ex: Human Revolution twice so I could finish off the achievements, been through Guild Wars 2 five times (one for each race) barring the Living Story content (missed season 1, completed season 2 once), Jedi Knight Jedi Academy twice, Ocarina of Time four or five times, Majora's Mask half a dozen times, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 twice...Binding of Isaac... (Ok, let's be real here, that doesn't count)...yeah, I replay a little...

If I can, I can... otherwise, I don't...

Other than that, if I really love the game, you bet your ass I'm replaying that shit the day after I beat it...

Dark Souls 1 and 2, finished those games atleast 3 times minimum each and am currently playing Bloodborne and I already know I'm going to play NG+ after I'm done. The game I've played the most is Metal Gear Solid 3, don't remember how many times I've played it but I played till 2012 when that old thin PS2 just stopped working :(

Side note : I really wish Bloodborne stops becoming a PS4 exclusive someday, everybody's gotta play this game atleast once. I want more Bloodborne lore theories faster -.-

I do. I replay classic games often. Still going through all the Starcraft: Broodwar missions because it's so fun. I like to replay SSB Melee with anyone more than anything. Plan to replay Half Life and Super Metroid every year.

Really depends on the game...
RPGs/Sandbox I might do, like Pokemon or Batman.
Then there are the games with mutliplayer going on, like co-op or versus modes, MarioKart or Halo for example, those I continue playing, with friends, after I finish the story.
More storymode driven games, and replaying them, very seldom... very, very seldom to be honest. It usually takes several years before I replay a game.

Never. Not anymore.

I just do NOT have the time. I'm lucky if I can finish a game nowadays, let alone replay it. I go to uni and work two jobs as well as work on other things; I also cook, work out and sleep. Video games just take a back seat.

Only certain games, like Civ or Europa, which let you do something very different each time, would I replay. But right now, I am trying to complete my entire backlog of 130 games remaining on Steam.

It always depends on the game. Most of the games I enjoy tend to have a decent chunk of gameplay left once the story is wrapped up, which isn't strictly replay as much as it's playing the rest of the game (Post-story content). Basically, the games I love the most tend to not run out of content. :D

But there are some mostly linear games I've replayed over and over. Games such as:

Timesplitters 2 - 2-3 times in singleplayer, more times than I can count in co-op (Seriously, it's probably 50+ times, at least).
Psi-Ops the Mindgate Conspiracy - 6 times.
Cold Fear - 3 times.
Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl - 3 times.
Stalker Call of Pripyat - 3 times (Have a 4th in progress).

My man, I have logged something like 8 years playtime into Pokemon over the course of my life.

I'm currently replaying Pokemon Fire Red right now, as I type this. [sub]Fucking Pidgeot stop fainting[/sub]
If your Pidgeot is fainting, then you're playing the game wrong n00b. Pidgeot is OP as fuck.

I don't really have the time for it, so no. I got both too big a backlog and too little time for videogames in general to finish games more than once. Which in some cases is a bit of a shame because I'd love to play Pillars of Eternity more than once. So far I haven;t even done so once.

Got to agree with this. How the fuck does Pidgeot die? The bugger has massive health and toughness, speed and huge attack with good moves. Right up there with Alakazam.

Hell yeah. The primary thing I look for in games is replay value. The more replay value a game has the better it is in my opinion. Why would I want to pay £30 for a game I'm only going to play once?

Absolutely. If I'm just curious I have enough folks I know that I came ask around and see if it can be borrowed. If no one has it and I don't think it'll be worth replaying than it had better be on clearance for me to take a look.

Same. I'll play a game, then wait until I got an itch to play it again. Some games have good replay just by being that good.

Really the only sensible answer is "depends on the game" or, in this poll's case: "only for certain games".

Different games have different replay values. For instance, a game like Skyrim - for many - has a great deal of replay value as for one: there's always something to do...some new place to explore. Beyond that there's tinkering around with different builds. Sure, your assassin-mage-archer did just fine...but why not give a heavy armor sword'n'board guy a try? Or my personal favorite: heavy-armored brawler/archer! There's many different things to give a try.

GTA, on the other hand, has a different flavor of replay value in that once you've beaten the game, it's up to you to provide your own entertainment. It just so happens that the sandbox that Rockstar gives traditionally has many fun things to do in it.

Other games are just so god-damn fun that they warrant playing over and over again. Arkham City is an example of such a game (for me, at least). I can marathon through 6 playthroughs of that back-to-back...new game, new game +, new game, new game +, new game, new game +. Why? Because I really like Batman'ing the fuck out of people. :3

I barely ever play games more than once, it has to be a pretty special game to play more than once.

It's usually hard to judge replayability anyways. I mean, if you do everything in a single playthrough of most RPGs there's little incentive to go back.
If someone had told me that Shadow of the Colossus was a game with boss fights only, no items to find or use, and the puzzle of defeating the boss is the same with little to no variation each time then I wouldn't have thought I'm going to replay this game at least 5-6 times and buy it across multiple hardware generations.

Depends on the game. Some of them I like the story so much I start the game over on a higher difficulty right after finishing.
