I enjoyed the first game, the death sequences were a little annoying but at least you didn't restart an entire level. The controls would need tweaking but I would like to see at least a sequel even maybe a third game.

I was told that it would be Devil May Cry meets Diablo, also there was supposed to be an epic retelling of Norse mythology. What I got was crap in the form of both gameplay and story.

So no, it would be stupid, nobody who didn't play Too Human won't get it, and anybody who did won't get it. Plus five bucks says they either keep that valkyrie crap, or make a joke about it and add something even worse.

I loved the first game and would love to see a sequel.

( I do tend to spend a lot of time on games that most people hate. With Too human and Two worlds alone, I probably racked in about 4 to 5 days of game time, both with the max level :D )

Is there any sort of news regarding a sequel, or are you just putting the question out there?

Is it a story worth telling? The terribad gameplay threw me off before I got anywhere near 'Into' the game.
Seen Yhatzees review, not near as harsh as normal
But he did later say it was the worst game he's ever reviewed..

But although I want it to happen, and a couple of people that I know want it to happen, the gaming community in general does not.
The gaming community in general are a bunch of cynical, negative pricks. Ironic statement I know, but most of the people who will bash this game will only bash it because others do. Not because they played it and didn't like it.

I myself saw something in it. It had a pretty interesting if nerdy story line going, the art direction was beautiful and it was a nice change of pace from the samey regurgitated middle earth, modern battlefield and space settings we are so, so mired in.

Anyhow, I know a lot of people complained about waiting through the long reanimation cinematic so many times. I completed the entire game without dying and have the save data to prove it. (Deaths were tracked) I couldn't help but feel considering there was no other penalty for dying people were complaining too much. A game like demon's souls would have restarted the level if you died, Too Human was pretty forgiving.

For that matter, the game play wasn't bad. It was just different. It reminded me of old arcade games that only used two joysticks with like a bomb button. And that's what it was, really.

General opinion of the first one was poor - myself, I consider it the worst entertainment product ever developed, ever - but if Microsoft isn't siphoning off the cash flow for it, well, it must have at least a sliver of faith in its quality... maybe.
You clearly need more exposure to crap if you consider this the worst entertainment product -ever. This sounds like an idea born of the cauldren of hate that is the internet. But I do commend your avatar sir, Noel is adorable so I have to consent that you do have some taste.
Um....... This is highly irrelevant to the thread but um..... while clicking to reactivate the page I may have um.... reported you? I'M SO SORRY IT WAS AN ACCIDENT PLEASE DON'T SMITE ME!

Too Human's story was inspired, and nothing short in my opinion.

The idea that in the end what will save humanity from the forces of darkness is not our hyper advanced weapons but instead the human spirit is so full of creamy hope that it brings tears to my eyes.

HOWEVER! You want to know what else made me tear up? The game's mechanisms, the ones that I could understand were far too buggy and overall were just trash, and everything outside of combat was so complex that I never figured any of it out.

In closing, they need to tell the story of Too Human, but before they do, they need to makes sure its not a steaming pile of offal gameplay-wise.

My budget is limited, a lot of cool games are coming out that I just MUUUST get a grab on and I have to nit-pick what to purchase.

With Too Human's reputation quite exceeding with major flaws, horrible game-play and story this is not what I'd plan to pick up.
Although the closest thing I've ever had to experience it was seeing one on a shelf or in a game review.

well since the first game was SOOOO well made, and was SUCH an important addition to gaming as a whole (more so even than Portal), it would be a crime NOT to continue the story

Yes, definitely. It was very flawed but it had its moments, and it oozed potential. It deserves a second chance, but they better try real hard to learn from their (often baffling) mistakes.

Seriously, all those Yahtzee fanboys... It was no way near that bad.

And yes, of course they have to call it 2 Human.
And part 3 should be called Too Hum3n.

Too Human had some fun points. If they learned from their mistakes, I could see buying TH2.

I don't want another game like the first, though. Major improvements or don't bother.

I saw the teaser trailer a year or so before the game came out and thought "this looks fucking awesome!" Now, granted, it was just a cinimatic piece but it was still really good. Then I downloaded the demo and thought "Wow! This is nothing like what I thought it'd be. In fact, it's pure shit!" deleted the demo and never looked back. Personally I, like most people, think they should shelve the Too Human trilogy and get back to finishing 2 & 3 of the Eternal Darkness trilogy. Tell me no one here wants that over Too Human 2 & 3?

I actually really enjoyed this game, logged over 50 hours on my highest level dude and about that many on the others combined.

The story was.. awkward, but okay. The art and cinematics were well done and immersive. The voice acting for Baldur was fucking terrible (in my opinion). The gameplay and the level lengths were the worst.

..Also, you get an achievement for dying more than 100+ times. Really?, Silicon Knights?

In conclusion.. they'd have to do a really damned good makeover of the game to buy me off. If they end up making a sequel that's just copy-paste the first with a new story? Hah! No.

Oh, and before you mark me as a "hater for sake of being popular", I actually owned the game for a year and played it to the end. I'm qualified to have my opinion on it for such, thank you.

That hardly makes it the second coming of Satan.
he's also reviewed Final fantasy 13, so it most certainly is that bad.
