I would read the first page and last page, if I still feel like I need to read more I read the second to last one, so i know what's been said. Rarely can I be bothered to read all pages.

always, unless it is like 10 or more pages long, then most of the post become redundant and mundane.

Im here for the posts.

If you bought a box of chocolates, would you not eat them all?
Actually... no. I don't like Coconut, and I would not eat all of them if say, 5 were coconut.

Likewise I will skip a post or a page if I don't like the look of it (blocks of text=wordsmith not bothering)

Not those toothpaste filled ones, though the clever bastards make 'em blend in with the others...

On-topic: If it exceeds three pages I read the First page or two then read the back two pages to see where the topic is at. with the exception of threads with 1-2 line responses.

I try when it makes sense to do so. When getting in on the third page of a thread discussing philosophy, it would be polite to formulate a response to a couple of the posts. When getting in on page 15 of Corrupt A Wish, I don't think the hilarity will be diminished if I decide to only read only the previous dozen or so posts.

Well, here you have an endless supply of chocolateboxes. I reserve my right to just eat my favourites and move on the next box.

I usually read the first page and sometimes the last post/page. But it all depends on the topic of the thread and the quality and/or humor in the replys, as with the chocolates, as long as they taste good and are intresting, I might read more of them.

I always read all the posts in a thread before posting. I figure by understanding all that is going on in a thread my chance of saying something stupid or redundant goes from highly probable to just probable.

Not as an attack on you emge, but when did that become a 'right'?
Is this like the 'right' to post pr0n or the 'right' to insult anyone you disagree with?

no, I believe his point is it's his "right" to be able to skip some of the less "tasty" posts

I usually read the first page, and then the last page. It takes so long to read all the ones in the middle when you post on a 200 page topic.

If it has a bunchah pages like 7+ pages) I look at the first post to see if there are any interesting arguments or other stuff, and if i'm interested I read on. Otherwise, if there isn't, I just ignore every other post and answer the original posters question or something.

Almost always. If I get bored then it defeats the purpose of me being here though, and I stop or skip ahead.

I read a bit more often than I used to. Unless it's something that I have little regard for others opinions on and/or my response will extremely likely be unique [http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/8398/potatoesvs5.jpg].
