Poll: Do you actually use your 3DS/DS/PSP when you're out?

I've taken my DS with me a few times when I go out, but I don't think I've ever actually played on it for a significant (more than 10 minutes) amount of time while I'm out. I'm either with a friend, too busy, or I just don't really feel like it.

I feel like I can get a lot more accomplished, and take in a lot more (especially if it's a dialogue-heavy game like TWEWY) while I'm at home, playing during my free time.

Please don't misunderstand this topic - I'm not talking about short little cellphone games. I have Tetris on my phone, and I play it basically every time I ride the bus if I'm not with a friend. But this topic is about devices that are designed specifically for portable gaming; the 3DS/DS and PSP.

Do you use your 3DS/DS/PSP for a siginificant amount of time outside of your house? Or, like me, do you spend 99% of your handheld gaming time in your house?

Well I use it usually depending how I feel if it's a PsP or a DS.
I usually take them when I know it's goign to take long.
Liek waiting for the dentist.

Generally only if it's a train journey - if I'm going on a couple hour train ride my DS is one of the first things I pack. I don't normally use it during little journeys, but I do play on my iPod quite a lot (although I guess that'd count as a small cellphone game).

There's been a couple of times where I've been in Uni and a we've played a bunch of wi-fi Mario Kart in the union bar or something, but those times are fairly rare.

Most of the time, I don't, I just take my iPod Touch and play the games I like on it. But on long rides where my iPod will surely die (it has a shitty battery life), I take a DS with a Pokemon game in it. Wastes a lot of time.

I take my psp everywhere because I tossed in some homebrew and I have a ton of music/movies/tv/books on it and my case has an extra battery in it so I can kill loads of time. Oddly enough, I rarely use it for gaming anymore, its more like a fat ipod video.

i still play my GBA SP. i have a 45 minute train journey each way for work 5 days a week so play it on the train. makes the journey so much more fun

My DS is usually with me when I leave the house. It never hurts to have something in your purse to kill a few minutes.

I've used it twice for a long train journey that I didn't take my laptop for.
I would take it on holiday but I wouldn't take it to the pub.

I mostly play mine at home, if I'm outside I'm usually doing something.

Waiting for the bus to come, standing in line for something, riding in taxi, train, and bus.
I use it any time I have to wait for something and I'm not at home.

Hell no, I don't trust the world to take care of my DSi in the meticulously nanny-ish way I do. Nor do I trust the general public not to steal it.

I take my GBA SP to school though, for the playing of Pokémons Ruby and Fire Red. Not quite so much of a loss that way should something occur, but it's holding up well so far.

Yeah, I bring my DS lite with me when I am on the bus. I am getting really into Pokemon Black and I want to train my Samurott. My brother is currently borrowing my PSP but I really want to play Castlevania: Symphony of the night now...

If there is a new KH or Dissidia Game out yeah whichever one it's out on gets taken with me on my bus to and from work.

Otherwise it goes into storage and i use my Ipod. Which can hold my music and video games and not take up all the space in one of my pockets.
