I find that I agree with him only on games I hate.

So really, whenever I look at his reviews, I either do so for entertainment or for him to agree with me that the game of the week is shitty.

If you agree with him all the time then you shouldn't really be playing games.

His criticisms are always taken from valid points - you may disagree with them, but you can see where the criticism is aimed at - but they're exaggerated for the humour.

That's if we're talking about Zero Punctuation, mind. I frequently agree with him in Extra Punctuation.

I do agree with him most of the time though exaggerates on the bashing, but we've got to understand that not only is he a critique, but he's also a comedian.

Yeha, it's pretty obvious that he's done some games that I liked and given them bad review,s but then again he's taken games that he liked and done bad reviews of him. He said way back in his Bioshock review that no one likes him when he's being nice to a game, so even if he thinks it was worth buying and a lot of fun he will still bash it. So technically you're not actually agreeing or disagreeing with Yahtzee, since it's not really his opinion (most of the time.)

Sometimes I agree wholeheartedly with what he says but a lot of the time I just tend to take what he says with a grain of salt, especially when Halo gets involved, and just enjoy his videos for the humor quality.
That said he does make some good well thought out opinion pieces in Extra Punctuation so I don't just dismiss his opinions declaring him as nothing more than a joke dispenser. That said I still don't take his every word to heart.

Meh, Yahtzee is a product of our society. Too many game review sites give games way too high scores, Yahtzee is the polar opposite. Everything is shit except for 5-10 games. Nobody likes a rational opinion

Lets be frank... He has his individual taste... and if you go by his taste then you may as well lick his shoes... I wont deny that much of what he has said in the past is very factual... Even for MGS... I mean... who the hell is married to the genre so badly that even though she is wearing a different dress today she is better... shit i have hated girlfriends and games under the first three hours of having it in them...

IMHO MGS... the first game was great the rest... No stop now... I already saw this rerun.... how about you remake mary popins for the locals and make her thong stick out... its still a musical classic only entertaining to those who probably are aroused by their grandmothers wedding album....

Back to the point.. He may not always be rite... and sometimes you find him using the same description only with a different wrapper but he is mostly spot on...

Still I play it for myself... and definitely when he says its shit... just so i can decide for myself...

So if I have to give him a gamespot review I am thinking they would say 2/10 ... and by Yahtzee standard... Ask your mom...

I watch him for comedy. Not for an actual recommedation. Hell, I've even laughed when he knocks on Zelda, and that's my favorite game series of all time.

Ummm he's usually always right seeing as how its criticism and its his opinion of the game. I don't care what his opinion is because if I enjoyed a game he won't change my opinion of it and if I hated a game I get to laugh as he points out extra flaws I never thought of.
