It doesn't matter what kind of being it is, but do you believe in a higher power? I myself am Agnostic, and I'm just curious to what the ratio of beliefs is. Please refrain from trolling this thread.

I'm trying my best not to start a religion flame war, so I'll keep my views on religion to myself.

That said, I'm a proud Atheist.

I don't believe in any god that has anything to do with our lives. Therefore, I don't participate in any sort of organized religion, and believe that prayer and worship is pointless. I could say that I believe in a creator however, and MAYBE some sort of observer but thats it. I also am deciding whether I believe in predestination.

I was quivering between Yes and Maybe. I ended up going with Maybe. I used to be a monotheist, but now even though my prayers are answered I feel distant from any guiding figure.

There is no God, and Richard Dawkins is his prophet.

Seriously though, wasn't there another one of these about a week ago?

Also, atheist.

There really is no proof that God dose or dosn't exist and that is all we have and to those that belive in the "big bang" or those that belive in God I ask you what was befor the "big bang" or God. Man cannot contemplate infinite and that is a fact "Without beginning or end, the ring stretches to infinite".

I waver between Atheist and agnostic. Sometimes I don't believe at all, and sometimes I don't know what to believe. Usually, I don't believe. SO, I'd have to go with atheist.

After much thought I went for maybe. I've see no proof God exists but then again, theres no proof God doesn't exist either... I'm a science student as as such find it difficult to believe in a religion, as a many say things that directly contradict established fact/theory with no evidence to back up their claim. I suppose the best way of putting it is I believe in the possibility of a something but not in established religion.

Thats the main reasoning that I base my belief of a creator on.

Sorry, I don't know why that double-posted. Admins can delete that post and this one if they want.

I believe there is a power to the universe which we cannot perceive in this form, but I don't have any notion of it being benevolent or giving two craps about linear-existent lifeforms.

Also I believe in the divine properties of soft dough pretzels.
Pretzels aside, I myself acknowledge that there may be a being who just likes to create as a way to pass eternity, and doesn't necessarily care what happens to us, microscopic life that we are. That is the main reason I am an Agnostic and not an Atheist, the chances of any organized religion being right in my opinion are dismal- even if one is right, there's no was you'll pick the right one. That's the flaw in Pascal's bet. But I still believe that there may be some form of god, so, the answer for me is maybe.

I have no idea what the point of that post was, but I still felt like posting it.

I like to think of myself as Atheist but I'm really more Agnostic Misotheist. If there is a higher being I want nothing to do with him/her and think that the rest of the world would be improved if it did the same.

Saying that I also respect peoples freedom to believe what they want to because if they can't have that then why should I.

Agnostic. I'd like to think there's more to life than atoms and a hell of a lot of dice rolls, but if you pick a religion, statistically you're far more likely to be a heretic than a faithful.

So, I just keep an open mind and hope whoever they are, the all-powerful have a sense of humour.

Edit: I just noticed this post is my 444th. Not quite 666, but at least it is on a religious post!
