Poll: Do you buy cage eggs?

I admit that I don't really care. And free range are 3 times as expensive as battery eggs, but not really three times as good. I'll get barn for preference, since it is a pretty happy sort of mid point of quality and price, but I don't really care about the ethics of it. I know I probably should, but I don't.

In my part of the world most eggs are free range or barn laid and they don't cost extra.

I rarely buy eggs (my lactose issue extends to eggs) but I do get free range when I do. Figure the cost isn't an issue when I only buy maybe a couple dozen a year.

No, and to be honest I now don't for the simple fact they do taste better. I started for ethical reasons but yeah at like 3$ a dozen and better overall flavor it is hard to complain even with no ethical backing.

Ah dear, don't get me started on this xD haha.
I don't eat eggs full stop, based on ethical reasons. In both cases, the chickens' treatment really isn't great. But I guess 'free range' is...something.
But yeah I do have a problem when people get caged.

I very rarely buy eggs due to my lack of employment at the moment.

So forgive me for not researching every single company, and instead just reaching for whatever's cheapest.

I do have a problem with the practice of caging chickens, but I buy them anyway.
Why is this?
The answer is simple; Free range/barn eggs are a scam. The ONLY difference between free range and cage is the cage. The chickens don't have any more space to move around in, they pack them in the barns just as tight as in the cages.

Choose your poison, but don't kid yourself into thinking you're doing the 'right' thing.
The only way to do that is to get eggs from a local farm, where you can see how the chickens are kept. (which I do occasionally, when they have eggs available).

I dont buy cage eggs... i used to get fresh eggs from my sisters hens but now when i buy eggs i buy free range/organic eggs especially from the farmers market.

But yeah, I've never paid attention. I have no idea what type of eggs I eat. Is it supposed to be on the carton? Can't say I've ever noticed.
