Indeed I do. There is no streaming site/company that has everything I want to watch. Even Netflix's streaming library is laughable.

I check out the cheap bins full of DVDs when I shop groceries from time to time. Also buy some box sets from series I like. Got at least 200 DVDs and still never anything to watch. -_-

All the time. I have a huge list of movies that I want to see, or have seen and thought they're good enough to have on DVD, so I'm constantly looking for something. I don't usually buy DVDs that cost more than 10 or 15 ?, though.
I have some movies that I've only ever watched once, but even those I don't regret buying.
Also, I don't have a TV, so DVDs are how I watch my movies.

Until someone gets off their arse and makes legally downloading DRM free movies and TV possible I've no choice but to buy DVD/Blu-ray discs or be a pirate

It seriously pisses me off that I have to spend hours and hours ripping my DVDs and Blu-ray while a pirate can just click one link and get a better version with literally no downsides. Add to that: the software is expensive, some shows/movies can't be ripped, it takes ages to rip stuff (hogging my CPU and GPU in the process), not all DVD's are available in my "region" meaning import cost and pissing about changing the region on my DVD drive (which can only be done a few times)...etc.

When comparing what I go through to the pirates, I feel like I'm the stupid one sometimes all the fucking time.

And yet the movie and TV companies will still wonder why people pirate.

Plus, it was only recently made legal to rip DVD's in the UK, so not too long ago I was a criminal too (although tbf I don't think it was ever enforced), just like the pirates.

I don't - my brother does though =P He's a film buff who owns freaking hundreds of them. If there's something I want to see, thats already released on DVD, there's a reasonable chance he owns it. I just borrow them from him all the time, saves me a fortune X)

Hell yeah. I used to want a DVD collection with 365 films in it, so that I could watch one a day for a year without seeing a repeat. Well, I passed that point four years ago. My DVD collection is, er, extensive to say the least.

I tend to buy a decent amount. Netflix, however, eliminates some of my need.

So you own one DVD set that costs like 30 bucks? Wow, quite a collector. :p

Yep I do, especially recently, as I got Vampire Kiss, Clockwork Orange, The El Marichi series, and..... The Host, all good films, and they were only a couple quid each. I tend to buy DVDs as they just give you so many extra features that if you truely enjoy the film you'll love to see the thought that goes into it.

I have to admit it tends to be the B movies or the less big titles that are the best as they have much more interesting screen direction and such.
Evil Dead series had loads of cool comments from the directors, which has made me watch each film again.

Well just within arms reach of my PC I have about 45 films and 20 TV shows (counting anime and miniseries) on DVD so I'd say yes I do buy DVDs.

I only buy a DVD or Blu Ray if i realllly enjoyed the thing, or if its only £3.
Films just arent worth £10+ to me unless i know im gonna watch it again and again. Same with TV boxsets which are £30+

And dont even get me started on Anime DVDs which can be £20+ for 1/4th of a series -.-

Yeah I do but not alot these day since I can't afford it. I tend to be a sucker for those special cases.
I only buy dvds if I really love the film/ show.

Yeah, not as much as I used to but I still buy a DVD the odd time. but not if its anyway expensive (i.e more than about 5 quid, depending on the film of course). I hardly buy any TV shows, just films.

I tend to buy comedy series, more than anything else, but the occasional foreign film, too.
