Both.

You gotta support the creators. But still, I'm not gonna wait for my Naruto chapters. Patience is for the more strong willed.
Right there with you. So excited when Hinata finally confessed, and now it's like she doesn't even exist. I keep reading it online because I keep hoping something will happen with her. So far, nothing.

I do buy it once it comes out in the United States, but since the books are so short and come out once every...what, 3 or 4 months? Yeah, I have to read it online too simply becaue I must know what happens!

Read it online, because I don't have $15 to spend on each 30 page book...

But I rarely read manga anymore...
Where the hell do you buy manga? Most manga are about 200 pages anyway.

I buy my manga. But, I usually read a bit online first to decide whether or not I actually want to buy it in the first place. I feel like crap when I shirk paying for something that is actually decent (Like Neon Genesis Evangelion).

Well, if I could find some Bakuman, Gantz, Berserk or Deadman Wonderland or Parasyte volumes, I'd buy them right off the bat. But all I find is shit I don't want, like Naruto.
Try bookstores. Or you know, the localization the publisher's websites. They tend to sell exactly what your named that you want.

As a rule I buy all my manga. (There's even a comic book store I can get it from, which is nice) but for the manga which aren't released over here in the west, I try to find scanlated online versions, just because otherwise I'd never get to read them.

I read it online if just for the reason that you won't see what's online here in the states for a while. I'm way ahead of the english printing fro anything I like to read.

I do like to collect the physical copies when they do come out, however.

Both. I read something on-line to see if he art is good and the story is thoughtful.

I then either buy the english release or I buy the Japanese version from an overseas book site to support the creators (I can barely read Japanese, so I do it purely for the sake of owning the original work and thus making me feel better about reading the scanlation).

Don't get me wrong, I read Naruto, but for fucks sake, the mangaka seems to be using up all of the money he makes to buy crack or something.

Tobi killing Naruto's mom is the only good plot twist for the last 200 chapters. But that's only because I like Tobi and I really don't like Naruto's fucktard of a mother.
Try going on amazon. Manga is quite a bit cheaper there. Also be more specific about what you're about to spoil.

Well, we do have this "geekstore", as I refer to it, in town around here. They have lots of comicbooks so I could go there and buy it. The problem I have with buying it online is that I don't have a creditcard of my own yet, and my parents are like "hmmmm, can't you read that online anyways?".
If you actually want to pay for it, just get money put onto a gift card at a store like Borders, then buy it on their website. I don't even think there's tax for the card, and you get free shipping for any order over $20.

Well, I was talking of Naruto, so I'd say it's pretty obvious what I would spoil. It's not like I'm going to write about the newest chapter of Bleach in my spoiler, right?
I meant you could have written "Spoilers about Naruto's mom."

I used to buy it, but then I realized that I was spending like $10 for a 45 minute read.

I stopped buying manga after I got out of highschool, I just looked at my bookshelf on day and was like wow...there has to be at least a thousand or two dollars of manga on this shelf (I read almost every other series out there) and they are just sitting there collecting dust, I never go back and reread them...what a waste. So I started to get manga from library and after a year or two dealing with delayed books and missing chapters and having to wait two weeks for my library to order a chapter from another library in the system I just started to read online and have never looked back.

I rarely read Manga, but I am reading Digimon Next on Manga Fox. I have to, since I can't find it to buy. Though I am reading Death Note which I bought as well.

Calumon: I'll take a Potato Chip, and... It's half the size of me!

I usually read manga online to get an idea of whether I like it or not, then buy it at a store. If it's not out in America yet, I read it online, then buy it when it comes out.
