Simple question out of boredom really. Do you prefer to buy beer in a can? Or in a bottle?

Personally i buy mine in bottles , mostly due to the fact that canned beer is way more expensive where i live for some reason.

I buy beer in bottles, since they don't usually make the kind of beer I drink in cans.

I bet they taste the same but... Drinking bottled somehow makes it taste better.

Beer in bottles, soda in cans. The container does have impact on the taste, no matter what anyone says :p

But of course few things beat a beer from the tap.

Bottle. I'm not sure why, I just like them better, which is weird because I prefer my pop from a can.

Bottles are superior in every way. Except when you have to deal with transportation and breakage.

Cans if I have to buy for takeaway. Bottled "beer" (or lager to everyone outside the US) is scandalously over priced in bottles, and an utter waste of money for tasteless rubbish.

I'm a beer drinker by preference - and I mean real beer, not the gassy pish that people insist on calling beer, but I always find that bottled ales never quite taste the same as they do out of a barrel, and for some strange reason always seem (to me at least) to have a slight fizz to them.

Bitters and heavies from a can seem to suffer the least in comparison to a proper pint in a proper pub so that's what I'll buy. I do most of my boozing down the pub though. If I'm drinking in the house, which isn't that often, I actually prefer a bottle of red wine though.

Nothing beats a cold bottle but I prefer cans, more in them and they are way cheaper than bottles where I live. I havent even looked at how much bottles cost in pubs... I think I'd cry

Bottled beer (so I've been told) is better quality and thats why it costs more.

Tsk.

I buy it in a pint glass, like any other englishman. Always annoyed me in bars in America with their tiny bottles.

Mind you, we do have more problems with alcoholism than in the US so they might be a good thing ;)

Bottle. Or as we call them in Australia 'Stubbies'.

Cans leave a metallic taste for me and a bottle feels more smooth to wrap your lips around and just swig it.

Bottles, I don't care what anyone says, there is a taste difference. Cans may be cheaper, but I'll pay a little more for better drinks.

Other.
Whatever I feel like at the time and the purpose at hand.

When going to a party, I usually buy a six-pack of 0,5l cans, because it's more beer and easier to carry. When I'm drinking one ice cold beer at a hot summer afternoon, I go for the bottle.

None, I usually buy bottle, but I prefer draft, tastes better, and now they have that mini-draft thingy you can buy in the liquor section of a super-market :D

Bottles usually, tasts better. But cans if I'm doing stuff outdoors, you can have them in rivers and pools without worrying about them breaking.

Exactly this. I don't prefer one way or the other, I just don't have a choice.
