I usually call fizzy drinks by their brand name, there are too many varieties to label them all under one name, it'd be like calling every pasta based meal pasta.

Soft Drink or whatever drink it is..Coke, Sunkist, Pepsi, Solo etc

Im from the UK.

Pop or Fizzy if we are buying some cheap supermarket knock off.

Energy drink if its something like redbull.

Otherwise, and even in he cases stated above, calling it by its actual name, IE Redbull, Fanta, Pepsi, Coke etc. is always likely.

Never soda. Thats a very American thing. Generally if you buy soda in the UK you are referring specifically to soda water like Schweppes

I call it by its name if i want cherryade ill ask for cherryade if i want coke ill ask for coke even if its Pepsi its all the same ^^
