I only occasionally cook my own meals, working 40 hours a week makes me prefer to keep as much free time as possible without having to cook. I do normally check labels for high sugar/fat content.

The funny thing is I'm quite a thin guy, and people always say I should eat more even though I actually think I eat a lot.

I eat what I want and don't go out of my way to exercise and I think I still don't weigh what is healthy for my height.

And then this morning I decided to really cut down on buying breakfast at work and to cook smaller meals. We'll see how that goes.
With what I've heard, eating less isn't the answer. What you lose in food you also lose in energy. So staying as active as ever while eating less would actually be harmful.

I picked "other" - because I don't diet but I do try to be aware of what I'm eating.

I'm into endurance sports, so on days when I'm outside or training I eat everything (and lots of it), but I try to keep a record of it so that I can see if I'm doing anything performance-changing.

I'm 19 at about 20 pounds underweight. So, really, I don't see why I shouldn't just eat whatever I please.

I have a mixture of healthy and horrible in my diet. Hopefully that skews more towards healthy as I try more food (seriously though it's ridiculous how many common foods I've never eaten).

A little bit. I can gobble down pizzas, but at the same time I go "damn, this is probably not very healthy". But that's about as far as I take it.

I generally eat what I feel like eating when I feel like it, but I moderate my intake somewhat. If I feel like I've eaten a lot of unhealthy shit lately, I do less of that for a while. But I don't really care if single food items are unhealthy or not. If it's tasty, I will put it in my mouth.

Somewhere inbetween. I mean I have junk foods every now and then (somewhere monthly to bi monthy) while I rarely eat any super sugar coated sweet (eg. Mars bar or cuppa chups) these days let alone having Coke, Pepsi or any soft drink for that matter (only time I have that is when I'm at McDonals or KFC).
Speaking of which I do eat more fruit and my vegetable (drinking orange juice has replace my soft drink when I'm having a meal) but there is a point when enough is enough (I already ate one fruit, I don't need another so soon as I'm feeling abit full!).

I don't really give a fuck. I'm rather sure I weigh less at 19 than I did when I was 16. I'm too lanky to really care XD

Plus I actually don't eat enough, eating gets in the way of anime and video game time so skipping a few meals a week is quite common. I still eat when i'm actually hungry to be clear. If only because it's distracting as hell

I blame League. It's such a timesink that the "one more game before tea" promise gets forgotten halfway into that match.
That's basically me. I eat when I'm hungry. No more. To me, food is little more than a necessity.

I eat basically what I want, but there's a lot of junk I don't eat. Candy, for example. Chocolate's the only candy I eat. Soda, I never drink it. I always prefer tea or water. Fast food? Only if it can't be helped. Not everything I eat is healthy, but I eat many more healthy foods than I do unhealthy.

Type 1 diabetic here, so yeah. Anal as hell about sugar, could not care less about anything else. For the record I am 6ft 2, weigh in at 75kg (so skinny) and work part time in Burger king and have done for nearing 2 years.

Generally I eat whatever I want because I'm young and have a high metabolism, but I manage to keep myself in check just by knowing I'll feel like complete crap if I go overboard with junk food. Plus the fact that I rarely eat out helps. Now if you'll excuse me, I must get back to devouring this delicious, sugar-filled pastry.

no option for me really
i stear clear of certain foods like butter/margarine and avoid softdrinks and excessive sugars but at the same time i've consumed 4 pizzas in the last 3 days and generally won't hesitate to eat a whole cake if i feel like it.
lucky for me i have some decent muscle mass and work out a fair bit so over a few weeks i can usually gain and lose 10 kilo

I dunno, I don't find an option that really encapsulates me. I generally am pretty careful about what I eat, but I indulge in some chocolate or pizza every once and awhile.

Somewhere between options 1 and 2. I always read the nutritional information on food and beverages. Then I decide whether I will partake of them based in part, but not entirely, on that information. Sometimes I'm gonna ignore it because I really want to have a particular thing, but other times I'll think "that's pretty fatty/sugary/salty/whatever, I probably shouldn't have much... or any at all."

My father's side of the family has a long history of diabetes, and my glucose levels did raise in a recent blood screen, so I'm taking care. After doing some research, I started experimenting with low-carb/high-fat diets, mainly by severely reducing my consumption of sugar (in all forms) and wheat, without much regard about the fat in my diet. My weight is down, I'm feeling great, and my blood sugar levels are ok, so for now I'll keep with it.

I think it's amazing that there's so little real science behind the nutritional "facts" most people follow. For people who want to investigate by themselves, look for books (and videos etc) by Gary Taubes. Good Calories, Bad Calories is not a "dieting" book, it does an extensive review of the published science about nutrition, although Taubes is clearly in the low-carb/high-fat side. But there are "simpler" books by him like "Why We Get Fat".

I'm young enough that my metabolism's quick enough to keep me at a healthy weight regardless of what I eat. Taking advantage of it while I can.

I've been trying to eat healthier as of late though. I'm gonna have to watch what I eat eventually, might as well get some practice now. Even if my idea of eating healthier is just a couple more glasses of water and another apple per day, on top of all the crap I still shove down my gullet.
Baby steps.

I am careful about what I eat everyday except once or twice a week on my husbands days off.

I'm a vegetarian (but I don't eat a lot of cheese, if any at all.) So it's usually milk/almond milk , Greek yogurts, free-range eggs, beans, whole grains (I love oatmeal with a bit of brown sugar and raisins), vegetables, dried fruits, and natural 'butters' - such as peanut butter and sun(flower seed) butter. I usually try to buy things that are "organic", or as close to natural as possible - especially animal by-products.

My diet can be pretty delicious and 'light-but-filling', but if I don't indulge in some god damn french fries on my day off; I'd probably go a bit crazy. It's okay to indulge sometimes.

Not at all, I take vitamins and my hunger is calorie based so I stay at a healthy weight. If anything I'm much more likely to pay attention to how much I'm eating rather than what I'm eating.

I try to eat at least a few items every day that have obvious nutritional value, mixed in with whatever I want. I have been cutting back on junk food though lately and don't buy much of it or I buy fruit instead.

I just started to really watch what I eat. The career I want to get into requires me to be fit so it is best that I am eating healthy and exercising a lot.
