wait Muslim dating sites exist?
Why would they not?
Christian and Jewish ones do.
Because for the most part the grandparents like to have a say in who sees who.

Don't ask how I know, just know that I'm not kidding. It isn't as bad as it sounds (I suspect my unique circumstances don't help) but both sides of my family have an interest.

Wait?
Dating sites exist?
I just figured they were just a joke made up to insult lonely people.
HAHA, lonely people.

OT: Whether it's on an Xbox or on the internet I never click 'em.
Just don't like advertising, unless it's also entertaining aka Old spice style.

The Grandparents can like what they want, but I'm sure there is a huge percentage of Muslims who do exactly what most of us would do. Ignore the fuck out of them.

There's bored, there's really bored, but son, we never, ever get that bored that advertisements are suddenly worth their time.

Sometimes you get exclusive Gamer Pics/Dashboard Themes for clicking on those Xbox 360 ads.

I snagged myself a sweet set of Wreck-It Ralph pics as well as a Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance one by doing so.

Clicking on ads on the Internet is like having unprotected sex in Nigeria. You really shouldn't do it.

I agree. Even without clicking on adds I still get viruses from them.

I see every single ad on the internet as a possible malware risk and so I never have or will click on them. I just have this built in reaction to not trust internet ads.
That's exactly how it is for me as well. I simply do not trust them, even on websites that I know and trust themselves.

I also despise advertisements in general which doesn't help either.

No, for the same reason I don't tend to stick my penis in a box of discarded needles.

Even the harmless ones, I've just nothing to gain from it. I'm amazed how the marketing industry can profit from web commercials and the same mostly goes for other forms of marketing. More ads have put me off a product than they've gotten me to want it.

Wow look at those results. Only 7% clickers. Is 7% all an ads-based site needs to keep running? Or is this just another sign that people in marketing don't get their market, and give out money based on assumed results?

I watched an entire YouTube advert once, it was the Mariachi Doritos cover of Stay Another Day, totally worth it

That is approx. 72% the reason why I click on ads on the 360...for the shiny stuff!

Also, is this the first time I can use the "Am I the only one..." without getting yelled at by people? I am the only one who has voted for "Yes; at least it's something to do" :)

I think I treat ads the same way as I treat puddles or litter - I don't consciously recognise and I always avoid them.

If I do it was quite by accident. As others have said, it's a great way to get malware, or just several minutes of annoyance trying to close other ad pop-ups, or a credit card scam of some kind. I've actually wondered if there is full realization of how much legitimate business can't go on online because of fairly justified fears of scams and viruses in the business world.

Can't say I've ever been so bored that the only source of entertainment left was banner ads.

Nah. I don't click on ads, usually because I fear they'll put a virus or something malicious on my computer.
