Im a mixture. Sometimes i be an asshole just for the amusement of being one. I like camping people my level until they log out. I dont like being an asshole like ninja-ing loot or spamming or anything like that, its all honorable assholery.

No. The only way I tick people off is by being really calm and polite while they blow their tops. And I only rarely do that.

If I'm nice to other people, it's only because being a jerk endears others to oneself. I don't like the company of other people much. I have a low stupidity tolerance, hence why I don't play games online.

Here's my idea of a humanitarian:

Nah, I doubt there are any people I know that consider me an asshole. I might deliberately piss off my sister sometimes but that's it.

Only online. I tend to insult people for my own enjoyment, I swear much more, and I am not reserved about any judgments I might make about someone, but in 99% of cases those are highly exaggerated or completely false - it's just my way of "joking" and anyone who knows me well enough understands that. It's completely the opposite outside of the online sphere, though: fairly quiet unless I'm around people I really know, I can't initiate social interactions myself unless absolutely forced to, I'm incredibly wary of everyone around me, etc.

I'm not an asshole. I have a habit of playing devil's advocate in one-sided discussions, even if the subjects doesn't concern or interest me, but I don't do it to cause trouble.

Hey, Fun topic! I am never "that guy" online, the griefing asshole who teamkills etc, because I simply don't enjoy it, and no one else does either. I can however be an asshole in real life, both on friendly terms with people who "get" it, or people that I find really annoying or stupid, I will tell people straight up what I think of them, which is a big no-no in my country (Sweden). I do know when to be tactful though, though it pains me to humor people because they are my boss/lieutenant/etc.

In my defense, If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck and is surrounded by people calling it a duck (mainly at it quacking at [provoking] them) it probably thinks it's a fucking duck.
If it agrees, doesn't offer excuse then proceeds to tell the internet about it with relish...

Well...

...Quack...Meh, I've just always enjoyed annoying people, being fine with being an asshole and explaining why. I can't help if I enjoy it.

I voted 'yes but only online' as I am an asshole much more often online... but can sometimes be in real life as well without even really realizing it. Like I am a very sarcastic person and sometimes I will accidently say something sarcastically I meant seriously and then offend people who then think I'm an asshole. It's really bad though when thats my first impression with someone, as they seem to hold it against me for a long long time, if not forever.

Yeah I guess what I'm saying is I fail at human interaction :(

I voted "No". I tend to be overly polite to another party if they're not kindly disposed towards me. Perhaps slightly sarcastic at times but I don't know if that counts as being an asshole. Around my friends I can be myself, and it's not really in our 'culture' to be dicks to each other fortunately :) (though not saying that's a bad thing)

ps. my first post, hello kind people of the escapist :)

I voted Yes but only occasionally but hadn't read further options- I'm probably Yes but only rarely and to people I know who won't be offended to much too. Though on the other hand, I swear some people just NEED it..

I'm overly sarcastic, with little concern for who hears it. But i wouldn't go as far as me being an ass. Except to my friends, but they know i'm only messing.
What is shocking is how quick people will act like an ass to you over the internet. I mean some of these really annoying kids deserve it, but from my experience its generally needlessly harsh.

I most certainly have my moments, that's for sure. I have to deal with stupid people calling me all the time so it's just a given that I would be though.

I know better than anyone how much of an irascible prick I am. But where I live, you have to be an asshole, otherwise everyone will treat you like dumb defenseless pussy.

I have my moments...

If I've been an asshole to a friend or loved one then I do often feel bad about it afterwards and try to make it up to them.

As for everyone else...prove me wrong then ask for an appology.

Yes, I tend to gravitate towards Planet Asshole naturally. I would say it is my firebrand Cajun nature with sharp tongue that goes off at a whim without thinking. It is not so much I am purposeful about it though I can be but that I say what I think and consequences be damned.

I'm pretty much a jackass to everyone I meet in person. Ironically, I'm more courteous when I have a screenname and avatar to hide behind.
