I'm just curious if anyone else does this. I enter it in just because I don't want to mess up and get locked out.

Online in general: all the time, espicially because I've learned many sites allow for the impossible "February 31st" so obviously chose that for amusment.

I usually use my real birth date, especially now that I'll never get locked out by age restrictions, but occasionally I'll enter a BS one for whatever reason.
Used to use a fake date before i tured 18 because i didn't want to get locked out. Now i usualy enter my real date when im online but there are some places like gametrailers where the default on their movies i 1 jan and some year i can't remember. Then i just choose a random year because thats alle i have to enter.
Thre are many, how shall I put this politely, age-restricted websites that think my birthday is 1st January 1982. In other words, unless the site requires actual membership I just change the year to reflect my true age.
I do now. I stopped using a false birthdate once I turned eighteen, but even then it was only by a year or two.
Many websites are under the illusion that I was born on the first of January in the earliest year they offer as a choice.

Since I am 24 I can legally access anything and everything I want.
When my birthday is somehow stored, such as when signing up for a forum or service such as Steam, I enter it truthfully.
If the info is only a control of age, such as when accessing an M-rated game in Steam's store browser, or a games official webpage, I'll often leave the day as 1. January, and enter any year between 1900 and 1975, wherever my click may land. Accuracy is after all moot.
On a sidenote, I wonder if there is any statistics posted from such sites, and how common 1. January is as a birthday. ^^

I do, unless it's one of GT's mature videos where I have to confirm it everytime, there I just take the earliest year.
