I always used to choose a year that would make me easily 18 before I was, now that I'm older I generally use my real birthday. Who knows, one of the companies might send me a happy birthday email one day!

Not usually. I just can't be bothered scrolling through the dates to find my birth date, so I just pick a random year >18 years ago. As I'm much older than 18 anyway, I feel no obligation to give them my actual birthday.

I never use real information online. If I am going to identify my location I will do it in such a way that the average user will have no ability to identify me, and give no greater information than what could be deduced from my IP address. It depends. There's some sites that know my real birthday, the rest think that I was born on January 1st, 1980. After all, then you only have to change the last box...

Although, do remember that most sites with those verifications pinky swear that they're not going to keep your age on file. Thus, if you lie once then come back later with a different day, and get locked out, then you can write them an angry email for being liars!

pretty much this for me, though I tend to put in something close to my actual birth year even on random vids.
