Well since im old enough to go on most websites *ahem* I have no reason to lie.

If im not signed up to a site and it randomly asks for my DOB to watch a flagged video, I put the oldest date possible, usually Jan 1st 1900.

But if its a serious forum I put the real date in.

Well if I'm signing up for an account I plan on actually using more than once I'll put in my real DoB as I know I'll forget whatever fake ones I make up. I used to fake that I was older back before I was eighteen so that I could get to certain content, but now that I'm older than 18 I just put in my real DoB. Although I usually don't like to put how old I am. If you look at my profile you'll find what my DoB is but not what year I was born in. Maybe if you were to browse my posts (all ~1600 of them) then you might find some more info on me that I let slip every now and then. But for the most part I try to limit what I'm putting out for anyone to read. Better safe than sorry.

Anyway, for videos I always put the oldest it lets me, to fuck with it in case it keeps statistics. Most let you go up to a hundred years ago...

For registration I put my real one, because there's no real reason not to.

Online in general: all the time, espicially because I've learned many sites allow for the impossible "February 31st" so obviously chose that for amusment.

and when I was younger, I lied so that websites wouldn't lock me out of what I may have went there to see...

I didn't have access to anything I cared about before I turned 18, and now that I'm 22, I'm not really concerned about using my real birthday for anything. Very rarely, I use Halloween or April Fools' Day just because, though; for anything I'm going to need to come back to (here, youtube, paypal, etc) I just use the real deal.

If it's for my profile on (for example) the escapist, then yes.

If it's for a video that has some thing at the beginning telling you to enter your age, then no.

I also lied about my age on Xbox live, because I remember reading somewhere that someone was unable to download something because of the age on their profile.

Nope, unless it's for registration. But for videos on Gametrailers or something, I just flip the year to something earlier than '93. Heck, even when I am of age, I probably still won't because it wastes my time.
