No. Mostly because I'm an example of how someone can be here for over a year and still only have a bit over 200 posts.

I generally tend to look first at how much the post they've just made offers to the topic, then at their join date, and finally their post count.
I, personally, have only made a tiny amount of posts; I only browse topics that grab my attention, and generally only comment if I actually have something to add.

Sometimes I see people with like 8000 posts so I assume they've been here for a while and then I check and they joined in 2009. Which is insane because I've been to the Escapist almost daily for over a year and I have like half as much. I guess I'm more of a lurker than a poster...

The first thing I look at is when they joined.
Their number of posts come second for me...

Post count equalling length? No way. Consider how many people post crap-posts of like one word (or "First!" even) just to amp up their numbers. At the very least, I try to be funny or helpful or wise.
