Definitely... The first time I play a JRPG I play for the story only... Then I will play for completion.

This is particularily apparent in games such as FFXII, FFX-2 (A game made of pretty much only side quests!) FFIX, Persona 3, and some of the others I have played on the DS (Mostly other FF's) I will sometimes set challenges, although none of them that hardcore... mostly things like FFIX with non magic characters only when possible, or FF1 with 2 monks! (Or the easy boring 4 Warriors option...)

WRPGs and SRPGs on the other hand tend to have a lot more replay factor... due to the fact that they tend to have a lot more customisation to your character. For instance, Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights I have played repeatedly, and Dragon Age and Oblivirim I have played quite a few times with different builds too!

All the time. Every few years I'll replay:

FFIV (replaying the DS version right now, actually)
FFVI (Snes or ps version)
FFVII
FFIX
FFXII
FFXIII (yes, even 13)

Chrono Trigger
Xenogears
FF Tactics (PS version)
Star Ocean The Second Story

All the Mass Effects
All the Dragon Ages
Rune Factory Frontier
Wild Arms Alter Code F
Skies of Arcadia
Red Dead Redemption
Tales of Vesperia

And of course I always pick up Fallout and Skyrim and start a new character to dabble with.

Which ends up I usually always have a game on the go.

That reminds me, I think I need to dig Dark Cloud of out a box... We have a load of games we never unpacked when moving over a year ago.

Most of those games I can recite word for word, too. But I love them, it's like visiting with old friends. But I'm the type to re-read good books every couple of years too.

I almost never replay an RPG. I'm the sort of person that tries to do absolutely everything in one playthrough, maxing my stats, doing every sidequest etc. I find that there's often no point at all in me replaying an RPG because I'd literally be doing the exact same thing again.

The only real exceptions are Fallout and Elder Scrolls, which are just a little bit too big for me to never see a new thing in a different playthrough. JRPGs though have no real replay value to me, as they're often very easy to complete all of in one playthrough, and even if I absolutely loved them, I won't play them again.

They are basically all I play, especially on consoles.

Yes, but only to RPGs and JRPGs that I really loved.
Some that I replayed the hell out of:
-Suikoden 2
-Tales of Destiny 2 (Eternia)
-Persona 4
-Oblivion

I don't normally replay JRPG's or games for that matter. I like to finish a games story then move on. the only time I have replayed a game was if it was a Zelda game or I was 13 and just getting into video games fr the first time and I had only a handful of games.

Some RPGs like Fallout, definitely. I'd even run multiple games at once.
Action RPGs like Diablo; Absolutely. It's a requirement.

Others I've replayed were early Final Fantasy games. I've played Final Fantasy 3 (6) countless times. I've included challenges on myself like playing particular characters or without certain options (No Espers, No Grinding, Bad Character Groups [Umaro, Gau, Mog, Cyan]).
My favorite style play through is 100% completion. To trigger every event and get as much of your item inventory filled as possible. I think I got to 253/256 items. Missing Cursed Ring and Cursed Shield respectively and the last slot, I think, is meant to be empty. All while doing so in a low-level-game. No grinding. In fact, the lower your levels, the more speed you can put them on via Odin. Especially with Locke, every level saved adds to 1 point of speed. I once accomplished getting everyone with their levels being average 14 without save-states (console). (Gau was level 11, but I think that's partially because I used Leap and then left him there all game until later - lol)

I always replay the good RPGs. The good ones are the ones like Kotor, where you can save the galaxy or conquer it. Fallout 3 was kinda like that, especially with Brotherhood of Steel.

I think that RPGs with NG+ (New Game Plus) are worthy of a replay. If I remember correctly Mass Effect had that and Mass Effect 3 had that as well. Also; Chrono Trigger and Dark Souls.

Thats the only type of game i play more than once. Probably because most of them give me the option to make a different character with different classes and gear, if it has multiple choices in how you progress through the story then it's a sealed deal.

I replayed Dark Chronicle loads of times, Oblivion probably even more, and Fallout 3 some similar number to that. Skyrim a good lot of times (although never to as high as an extent as the former) and I've replayed the original Pokemon games as well as Sapphire loads of times.

So yup. I suuure do.

Yup. I've played Morrowind too many times to count, as well as replays of Chrono Trigger, the first three games from the Disgaea series, Tales of Graces f and Star Ocean: The Last Hope (What? I actually liked that game). I replayed Morrowind to try different builds, Chrono Trigger for the story, the disgaea games because I generally like the series and Tales of Graces f and Star Ocean because I liked the way the combat system works.

All the time. I've played through Mass Effect more times than I care to count and I've just finished another run through Dragon Age: Origins.

Weird thing, I rarely make different choices. I play because I enjoy the story and if it is good then I want to experience it again. Just as I would read a favourite book again or put on a well loved movie.

All the time. I have 3 play through's in fallout new vegas, five in Mass effect 2, three in Mass effect 3, 2 in Persona 4 golden, 2 in persona 3 fes, and dozens in my pokemon games. To me, RPG's are the easiest to replay.

Yup. Lie some others here I tend to do it because I am the sort to pick up a favorite book every now and again and give it a re-read. For funsies.

I am actually in the middle of replaying some right now:

-Persona 3 Portable: Replaying for pure fun, maybe fiddle more with the aspect of creation a bit more than I did my first playthrough and maybe try some of the Social links I didn't get around to the last time.

-Star Ocean: Second Evolution: Technically playing a new game, but it's a remake of an old one from my childhood. So I'm counting it. =I

And I'll be playing Mass Effect 2 again eventually... Gotta stop raging at Mass Effect 1 first. DX

Depends on the RPG.

More specifically, the amount of different available builds, engaging and meaningful story choices (The Witcher series is pretty much alone on this one.) , and the amount of grindy filler.

As a special note for more open rpgs, there is one thing that annoys me ALOT.

Fucking horrible starting areas. Bioware is especially guilty of this. Long ass, slow moving, semi tutorials that are also unskippable without modding. One thing the Elderscrolls series always did well was allowing you to respec at the very end of the tutorial, so you never had to escape the prison more than once. Unlike fucking warden training, that planet in Kotor 1, and the spacestation in Kotor 2 (I know this one was from Obsidian)

Every game that starts like that is much more unlikely to be replayed by me.

Seeing as how that's mainly all I play, yeah. Kinda do. Though, if I could find Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore without use of an emulation, I would probably quit life as that would be all I would need for awhile.

I'd like to mention that I have Diablo 3 ordered for PS3 (might upgrade that to the PS4 version, if at all possible), Pokemon X and Y for the 3DS, Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 and am currently in my 2nd playthrough of Persona 4 Golden. I also have end game save files for Legend of Mana, Grandia, Wild ARMs 1, Legend of Dragoon and Chrono Trigger for my PS3, Final Fantasy 4: The After Years for my uncle's PSP and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Skyrim and Oblivion for XBox 360.

Have I adequately professed my love for RPGs?
