Yes, I do rather fear Anonymous, because even though I do trust them to keep the internet safe from censorship, fascism, intellectual dishonesty, etc, etc, there's still no telling what they might do. I see them as rather unstable, but that's not because of the PSN thing. I don't believe they did that at all. It's not even because they have no hierarchy or a structure. In fact, I'm all for that. They're most effective because of that, and I've always supported a society that needs no hierarchy or state to prosper. It's only because there's no telling what might happen and what innocent person on the net would have to face if caught in the crossfire of their endless pursuit of lulz. Freedom is something I wholeheartedly support as long as it doesn't harm innocent people, in or out of the internet.

Anyone who votes yes has some kind of superiority complex.

You are not that important.

(Unless you are Donald Trump or some child abuser in a very public case)
they're also delusional for thinking Anonymous can do anything bad even if it did target them
These people have the ability to find out where I am. I like them, but that doesn't mean I'm obligated not to fear them at least a little bit. A man's got a gun, and he's had the reputation of shooting only bad people. I trust him, but he's still got a weapon, so I'm still gonna get paranoid.

No, for the same reason I wasn't afraid of terrorists after 9/11. I don't live or work in a skyscraper. I get a very similar vibe from Anon that I do from the characters in Fight Club. Yes, they have reckless fun at other people's expense from time to time, but their main targets are jerks that I do not associate with. It's like asking a French farmer if he's afraid of the French Resistance in WWII. He's not a Nazi and doesn't like Nazis, so why should he be afraid of people who fight Nazis?

I fear the fact that ANY of them (The really good hackers more or less) could basically turn around and start committing crimes, and nobody would even know the person's identity.

I'm afraid of bullies who like to harass people and push them around. (Draw what conclusions you may.)

Nope, as long as you don't cross them or do anything that they're against then you have no reason to

My understanding is that they only fuck with people who deserve it. Also, because I support free speech, I think I'm sort of on their side in a way, no?

They are easy not to anger. It's been spelled out earlier about what they care about. If you were to incite their wrath then yes be afraid. They are legion. They have no feelings.

I have complained about a few things they have done but i am still a supporter of their "ideas".So as long as anonymous keep up with what they are doing all the power for them suddenly if the bullshit outways the ideals i will be forced to change my stance

Like people have been saying, don't go looking for trouble and odds are you'll be fine. If you haven't done anything wrong, then you've nothing to fear.

Of course, there are always going to be a few black hats running about, mukking everything up (Yes, that was a pokemon pun. Deal with it) but I get the feeling that anon is mostly composed of grey and white hats. Granted, what they're doing isn't exactly legal, and I can't say I necessarily support it, but I don't think they're malicious about it. They likely view themselves as modern day Robin Hoods, and get a kick out of foiling the plans of the corrupt sheriff. Alright, let them have their fun. It gives them something productive to do, and, if we're lucky, the government will take notice of flaws in cyber security, and actually get some decent defenses up!

Anyway, no, I don't fear anon.

Anonymous lost their balls years ago anyway. The people who call themselves Anonymous nowadays are idiots half my age who cry at all the things the old Anonymous laughed at.

2; Gross breakage of the internet rules.
What are these "internet rules" of which you speak?
I would tell you, but I can't, sorry.
Please tell me you don't mean that list starting with "#1 do not talk about /b/ #2 do NOT talk about /b/". Because that would be pathetic.
Actually because it brings up furries and pornography, and I want to spare the little children the idea that there porn for every fiction ever put into existence. That rule alone scares me.

Oh yeah, and I go with rules one and two because I don't like letting everyone know I go to a internet board that talks about child pornography on a site that is known for having hardcore liberals and conservatives alike.

Oh yeah, and Anonymous always states when they, hack a web page and put up a message, an internet rule violation at the start and end. So, no, that list isn't completely retarded.
Not talking about it is simply common sense. Then again, looking at the site's traffic it doesn't seem to have worked very well.
The actual list is what, 65 rules? Most of them not so much rules, just shits and giggles.

Why should I? Many of their ideals are congruent to mine. And even if they weren't they have no real reason to target me.

Anon does for free speech what the KKK did and does for white people. That is to say, they insult and demean the thing that they say they stand for. To say they're defending free speech is laughable. They're bastardizing it. As for fear, no, I have no reason to fear them so I do not. Simple as that.
