Death is easy, staying dead is very hard.....

Seriously though, I don't really "fear" death, I just don't want to die, though its going to happen no matter what, so I might as well make my life worth something!

Well i'm not scared of dying nor am i scared of my friend's or family dying, excluding my mother, Father, And my dog, And for some reason thought's of losing my dog make me the sadest

I think it's the unconditional love you get from a good dog that does it, I mean he's always waiting for me when i get home and he's always happy to see me

Don't get me wrong i love my mother, Father, And the rest of my famly and friend's, But i know that we are all going to end up in the ground Or in a big ass oven, i'm more scared of the funeral's, Because of how fine i am with death i worry that others at these gaterings will think i didn't care about the dearly departed.

At one point, yes, I feared death. I then accepted it as an eventuality, and no longer fear it.

I do, simple because, I have no clue what will happen. I have never met anybody that has been dead that could tell me what it is like. I have no idea what will happen. Will I go some Heaven, some kind of endless torture, or will I simply cease to exist? It is natraul to fear the unknown.

I dealt with death long ago. I'm at peace with the thought of my demise. If I die, I will accept it and move on, but that doesn't mean that I won't fight tooth, nail, and gun not to. I accept death, I just don't want to die now.

No, I'm afraid of a long drawn out painful death. If I am going to die I prefer it to be somewhat quick. Even if death leads to a never ending void, IT CANNOT BE AVOIDED. Should death come knocking at my door tommorow or even now then it's my time and so be it. All I can do is hope everyone I leave behind can deal with the pain and prosper for the rest of their lives. All I hope for is to return to the Earth without regrets or hard feelings. That is why when people ask me why I live the way I do I tell them death is constantly around and I want to do what I want so as to not have any regrets or hard feelings.

Sorry I have dragged on for to long.

It's illogical to fear death, once your dead you cannot feel. Your alive, then your dead. You won't think much in the instant of your death, and you wont think or feel at all once you're dead. You can only be sad about something if you think about it after it has happened or if you know it is going to happen...but if you can't be sad after death...is it not logical to live happily without fear or sadness?
You my friend have the same idea I do.

Live free, Live happily.

Wow. Can't believe I didn't post in this thread when it wasn't necroed (kind of ironic there, I think; a thread about death being necroed). I mean I could, but...

Anyway, I don't really fear death. What I actually do fear is the after-effects of my death on others. Granted, I don't really have too much of an effect on people, as I've seen, but my family will likely be hit hard. In fact, anyone who knows me knows that I wouldn't try to hurt people, but in dying, I know that I will cause a great deal of emotional pain to each of them. It's inevitable that I die, but I hope that people would not bring themselves down because of it.

Again, I'm not afraid of death. There are/have been times where I was afraid of dying, but I have this weird sort of belief in the afterlife.

Specifically, I believe we get to choose our own afterlives, crafted as a reward for making it through the mortal coil. You want to go to a Christian heaven? Go ahead. Valhalla? Equipment is provided, and hell, battle and feasting for eternity sounds pretty cool.
In my opinion, though, I'd spend eternity in Tolkien's Shire. That would be my perfect afterlife.

That's what I hope as well.

I'm not afraid of death itself, just how it might happen. If anything, I'm curious about what comes next... not enough to throw myself under a truck; not while there's still something to enjoy in living (never a shortage of that!).
