I'm not sure where the anti-WoW vibe comes from...Because people enjoy playing it? You feel the need to hate a game because your friend's enjoy it? To each his own, and to the rest of us our own business. There are far greater issues facing the world than WoW, issues which actually affect you more than just "My friend is playing it more and more. What can i do to stop the game from existing?"

Also: I doubt the iPhone can handle WoW in any regard. As has been said, maybe they'd give it a check mail feature, but other than that there'd be no actual gameplay available.

For me its a no, purely because playing a game of that nature on a screen of that size will be horrible, and you'd need a stylus to use the touch screen for WOW as you've generally got around 100+ icons on your screen, before you even look at the actual game display.

However what could work as a bonus app, would be allowing wow players to sign in, check auctions and mail from their iphone and chat with other players.

A separate app designed to allow them access when not at their PCs.

Because we all know WOW players don't spend enough time in front of the game.

Yes, I'm a WOW player, but no I don't have an iPhone for the same reason I didn't nail a toaster to my vacuum cleaner. If you want a second reason, its the same reason I never bought one of those TV/DVD/video combos... because if one part goes tits up you lose everything, I'm quite happy with my basic call n text mobile phone, camera, and mp3 player, in 3 separate pockets, and none of them ultra fashionable white, with those white cables that scream 'mug me, I have expensive pawnable items!'

That, and because it's popular. People hate popular things. Don't get me wrong, even though I don't play it anymore but I still think it's a fine game. There are times I think I could do with playing it again, missing the fun of finally toppling that accursed raid boss that has been troubling the guild for X number of weeks. Alas, when it all becomes just a little bit too time consuming, you just have to cut your losses.

Unless your character is pretty as hell and you're too retarded to get a screenshot emailed to your Iphone/whatever the hell you kids use these days, then I see no point to this.

There's no way you'll have an aneurysm if you don't check your in game mail/auction/ponies ever 3 hours.
