I am a ginger and I thought the jokes were funny at first but now I think its gone from being funny sterotype jokes to people taking it serously and it kinda disturbes me. Personally I get teased a bit for it but I dont have all out prejudice remarks being thrown at me it sadens me that it is happening..

I also think red heads can be popular as far as atraction goes because the colour is a sign of passion subconsciously it can make a difference

I don't worry too much about hair colour, but certain types of red hair on a woman I find terribly attractive.

Red hair = instant head turn.

Of course I'm sometimes disappointed following my neck-breaking turn but often it's worth it. Me likey redheads.

I see your Haley Williams and raise you one Karen Gillan.

In response to the OP, yes, I usually find red hair attractive. Basically, the way it works is this: if the girl in question is of average (or greater) attractiveness, then red hair makes her even prettier. If she isn't that good looking, however, it makes her less desirable. Red hair either makes or breaks a girl's physical appearance.

I really don't understand the stigma against gingers. I find fiery red hair looks gorgeous, and often complements a person's features, especially when it's natural. There are paler shades which are less striking, but they still tend to suit those who have it.

Hello, escapist. Once again, I've come to ask of your humble opinions and to gain insight on a simple topic. Where I live, gingers have a social Stigma attached to them, they get bullied in school, at work and in public for no reason other than being ginger. Apart from this, I've seen men turn down women and women turn down men, simply for being ginger (well, that may not be the ONLY reason, but in most cases they were the reasons given.)
"Ginger" is usually slang for unattractive red heads with fair skin and freckles (the freckles are an important part of being a "ginger"). Many are also unwanted step children.

Carrot Top is a ginger. Felicia Day is a red head. See the difference? :)

I don't care much about hair colour, really... 'cept for my own... it used to be really pretty, golden blonde, but when not in direct sunlight, it's more gray than anything else. *continues to dye it black out of spite*

Certain shades of red, though, especially on women, are just irresistible.

RED hair is extremely hot.

Actual "ginger" hair is more of an odd orange colour, and while orange is my favourite colour... not usually so great in hair. Granted if you actually find an attractive looking ginger (female), then they are damn good looking. Men I just kind of fell sorry for.

Same as every other thread on this forum red hair on girls = win red hair on men = disgusting and no one gives a fuck about them. That aside it really does not matter in the slightest. I mean it is not even ginger coloured do people even know what ginger actually looks like?

Edit: Do we really have to rehash this thread every so often the results are always the same?

Well, just think of the monotony of human hair. I would guess about 60 - 70% of the world's population has a black or brown hair color. Next would be blonde. So it's a choice between black or white essentially.

Then suddenly there's red. It's such an abrupt and distinctive change. An individual color as opposed to a shade.

And red, no doubt. Lo, the color of blood, the color of ruby, the color of fire.

I had a massive crush on this lady a while back, but didn't do anything about it because she was a genuinely good friend and I thought she didn't like me in the same way. Apparently I missed something.

Anyway, she had beautiful carnelian-red hair and these light blue eyes that reminded me of that shallow depth of sea where you can't quite see the bottom, but you figure it's not that deep because of its greater apparent brightness than the ocean. So you decide to go out for a swim and realized you've bit off more than you can chew, but you might as well finish what you started, and instead of fearing the depth, you begin to explore it.

Red hair is a yes.

I find red hair attractive. Very attractive if it's done right and on the right person.
However, I'm not really into ginger hair.

It depends.
I like red hair, personally but that really bad stereotypical ginger look of unnaturally pale skin, freckles everywhere and bright orange hair... no >.>
This.
I find non-stereotypical looking redheads to be extremely hot.
Otherwise barf.

Oh women absolutely. On men, absolutely not.

And I say this as a male daywalker
Truth. Men just shouldn't have light hair colours.

Blonde blokes are usually tools in my experience which adds to this.
