To paraphrase Nietzsche, how can you view life in any other way? And I believe that; life is positive, every other view of it is delusional.

Hakuna matata! Why worry about stuff? I could die tomorrow or become rich. What happens, happen. Can't break my stride!

Also, here is a picture that will prove that life is awesome:
I have newfound meaning in my life...

Though I quite like this facebook page as well

Am I the only one that notices the "third most popular opinion" always seems to be the correct one?

Buddhists believe that living is hard, but life itself is a wondrous thing that needs to be enjoyed.

Or, you can take from this Douglas Adams quote.
There are an infinite number of planets because there is an infinite amount of space to hold them. However, there are only a finite number of habited planets. Any infinite number divided by a finite number is as close to zero as to be no odds, with that one can say that the average population of any planet is zero. From that we can surmise that the entire population of the universe is also zero and that anyone you happen to meet from time to time is the result of a deranged psyche.

Life is great, if you ask me.

Even when shit happens, I'm of the opinion that enough hard work, persistence, and determination, you can turn any situation at least *somewhat* in your favor, and depending on your environment, even come out on top in the end.

Jesus this is the third thread of this type I've seen in as many days.

Can't people just lighten the hell up and fucking smile?

Not necessarely for everyone.
However the majority of people complaining on the Escapist about their life are indeed just whiny brats who need to get laid (myself included from time to time)

[small] Actual mental conditions like clinically proven depressions are another thing, though [/small]

It's great, it's all about what you put in.

Plus, do you have another option?
Although that's not true, at least we have opportunity or else stupid people couldn't get into parliament

My philosophy is that while life has ups and downs, the very act of living is so amazing that most problems are trivial in comparison.

Think of life as a wad of cash your mom got you for Christmas. Your brother might have gotten more money than you, and you might be stupid and use your money irresponsibly, but no matter what happens, you still better be damn grateful for that money. Whether or not life is a gift from God or a product of random chance, it's still quite amazing and beautiful that we're even able to breathe.

People say "go out and live life" but really, that's what we're all doing. From the poor orphan to the rich actor to the heroic fireman to the loser sitting at home on The Escapist (ahem), we're all living and gaining experiences. Every moment of life, bad or good, exiting or boring, is a gift to sit through, every single one.

And when we finally die, it's not like we're any worse off than when we came into the world. My philosophy anyway.

I found myself facing life with a smile and trying to take every chance I can get. I am fine with my life as it is, it has its ups and it has its downs, but it is my life to live and I will do all I can to make sure I don't have any regrets.

Life is amazing; the people on this planet generally aren't. It'd be a much nicer place if humanity's population was in the thousands.

Life is pointless, everything is pointless, and no matter what you do or how grand it is, you and your legacy will eventually be forgotten. :'-(

My life blows but that said I could fix it.
However that would require work, being friendly to a sickening extent and looking on the bright side.

All things I would prefer to avoid while I play Dawn of War 2, murder shit as the Orks and give people attitude when they give me aggro.

I am a gamer, and Life is what I make it.
Now I need more Paragon points, brb...

As a misanthropic pessimist I think that life sucks and as a nihilist I feel that life has no sense of purpose or direction. These are just things that I have to suck up and deal with, try and find the small rays of hope in this otherwise bleak existence. I always tell myself that I could have it worse and that's something, that's enough to give me a sense of encouragement.

Life is not pointless, I do not believe that there is a point to existence, because that's silly to assume that humanity is the only soul being that has a divine purpose in the universe. Sure, existence is pointless, we came into existence by a chance mixture of some chemicals that formed basic DNA strands that evolved through time into our free thinking minds.

What I think though, is that we make our own point to life. Life sucks, it's full of sorrow, stress and inconvenience. For all the joy, happiness and faith one has throughout their life, barely holds a candle to the amount of suffering, destruction and hate that they will experience. Life is terrible. Not one human is completely happy with everything that has happened. I can honestly say that. But that's what I believe the point of life is. To make life better. Improve, and refine life, and to learn the secrets of the universe.

And once we've done all that... who knows? When we finally master our knowledge of the universe, colonize the stars, create a universal peace, and universal happiness... Then what? That's when we need a good villain. Evil aliens preferably.
