I think tattoos are awesome! Whenever I see somebody with one I try and get a good look at it (until they start giving me dirty looks, lol). I don't have any, but I've wanted to get some for a long time. And I'm definitely of the "human canvas" mentality - nothing is more fucking cool than sleeves. I hope to have them someday, but I'll start with a small one just to see what it's like (and if I can handle the pain).

I like temporary/airbrush/henna tattoos, but nothing permanent. Permanent ones creep me out. Besides, they'll look really weird when you get old. :p

(Wembdon is where I was born, raised and live to this day, it's a fairly rural village, which is why this is funny).
O_O Uhhh, are you sure you meant "sack" and not "back"??? But yeah, that's pretty funny.

Tattoo's shouldn't be a trend, its a work of art which represents and / or means something to YOU!

I hate all these people nowadays that are getting stars done on their wrists, its just a fucking trend :(

Design it yourself, find a decent tattoist who can actually draw rather than relying on a bloody stencil, make it your own tattoo, don't just pick something off the wall unless you want to base your idea on it, can you imagine being so proud of your new tattoo that you picked off the wall in the local shop, only to walk down the street and find someone else with the exact same tattoo.

I hate colored tattos
I've always like black and grey shading, since apparently they don't tend to fade as quickly.

But then, Japanese style tattoos, just look so great in colour

Yeah, I have several already and plan on getting more. I would try and get ones that mean something to you though.

Hmm, I'm a little bit ambivalent about tattoos. All power to you if you get them, but personally, they don't really appeal to me. I might have a little fun thinking hypothetically about what I might get, but ultimately I don't think I'll ever get one. I might get one for a significant other, but they'd have to be pretty significant.

Tattoos' effect on someone's sex appeal isn't huge for me. Sure, it might be the single thing that I consciously find really attractive in someone, but most likely they'll have plenty of other attractive features that I'm probably overlooking.

Tatoos I believe are good if there is an important memory attached to it.

Like the skull/angel of death you got in the infantry in Vietnam/Iraq.

Or one you got after an unforgettable year in a foreign country.

I've got 4. A devil's head on my my right upper arm, a really busy (it's hard to describe)hot-rod themed one on my left calf, and on my inner ankles I've got the molecular structure for caffeine on my right and nicotine on my left (I did both of those myself).

I did it because I enjoy pain, and I really loved Ivy, so even though she is gone she will be with me always :)

If done with a purpose, and where it's placed, totally. Because no matter how many people say you can ascend the corporate ladder as long as you have a good work ethic, your appearance DOES play a factor in some companies. Kudos to you if you who finds one that doesn't care.
Plus, It's better then piercing (other then ears. Everywhere else seems kinda freaky to me.) Not so much the belly button, but through skin, and not cartilage.

The tattoo procedure is about as impressive as dental braces, shoe inserts, and shampoo & conditioner in one; it is just another step forward in the realm of technological advancements. It's not the most impressive thing humans have learned to do to themselves, it's rank falling somewhere between getting embarrassingly drunk and doing yoga. Much like TNT, nuclear submarines, and black nail polish, it's the individual application of the technology, along with the underlying reasons for it's use, that should determine it's relative placement in the aesthetic of all who witness it's use.
