When I play a game,I'm there 'till the bitter end. A game exists to be experienced. If you leave it incomplete, your experience is incomplete. And that's a sin.

First, my definition of "finished" is completing the story mode and MAYBE getting the platinum trophy. Like with Infamous, I've officially grown sick and tired of trying to get three trophies I need for the platinum.

I will also give up on a game if it straight up kicks my ass like how LittleBigPlanet did. I suck at platformers ok?

Still, I've got 4 platinums under my belt, so I like to think I generally do finish my games.

I'm a procrastinator. Of the 35 games I have on hand, I've beaten 30. A few I got over halfway and keep telling myself I'll finish later. A couple I've barely even started, and likely will never finish. If I looked up my whole library of games, I probably beat around 85% of them. About half of those I have 100% completion on. Not the best record, but not bad, much better than 20%. That percent seems really really low to me...

Length doesn't seem to play that big of a factor with my completion. I didn't finish Okami, which was super long, but I have 100% on FF13, which was impossibly long. It's mostly just a matter of whether I hit a boring/difficult patch and have to take a break so that it gets rolled over to procrastination. I got Okami the same time I got Shadow of the Colossus, so when I hit a boring section, I stopped playing and moved to SotC and never got around to going back. Where as FF13 was last on my list after portal 2 and Dragon Age 2, so I had nothing to switch off from it.

Now excuse me while I beat Fire Emblem for the 20th time even though Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is sitting in my gameboy just barely unfinished.

I personally can't regularly 100% a game.
I've completed 4 games to 100% but 2 were arcade games worth only 200 points each; Battlefield 1943 and Portal: Still Alive, one game did have 1000 points but it was spread across 7 achievements so they were each worth like 200+ points; Blazing Angels, and the last one I played was LEGO Star Wars 3 and games of that nature tend to be easy to get 100% completion on.

I've never been much of a completionist, to be frank I just play a game until i'm no longer having fun with it... orget distracted by something else. Concidering I buy more games than I could possibly finish in the spare time I have the whole thing is pretty much a foregone conclusion.

I might not finish 1 out of every 10. Or it might just take me a long time to beat a game. Sandbox games set in modern cities usually take me forever (GTAIV took a year. Saints Row 2 is still unfinised after half a year and I'm not motivated to play it again) because I get sick of driving. That's a game type I should probably just give up on.

Other than those types of games, I usually will play games from start to finish multiple times if I like them enough.

I'm a bit of an extreme completion so, yes. The only thing that really has a chance of making me put a game down early is if the voice acting is horrible. Bad graphics, I can deal. Camera working against me, I can deal. Bad control scheme, I can adapt. Horrible acting, *puts disc through shredder*

I do eventually.

Right now I got Mass Effect 2, Alpha Protocol, Yakuza 3, Killzone 3, and Crysis 2 not yet completed. Mostly I don't finish a game because I'm not in the mood for any games and when I am I have to get myself back into it.

I usually try to finish any games I get, but sometimes I don't (or just can't).

Sometimes a game is too tedious. Like FFXII. Waaaaay too many sidequests. I'll get around to finishing it someday.

But usually, I don't finish a game because it's DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. I'm looking at you, Prinny: CIRBTH. Sir Sweet can burn in a sugary hell.
