Hiya escapists.

Simple question: Do you take the time to floss all the shit out from between your teeth every day?

I sure as hell don't. It's a pain in the ass.
And I pay for it by having to visit the dentist more often than I'd like.

Yes, in fact.

I'm quite a stickler for dental hygiene actually :D

I use these.

For my back teeth, since they're a ***** to get to with floss.

They're too thick to clean by front teeth though, so I use floss for them, as well as using mouth wash.

Teeth still aren't white though.

I drink far too much tea for that :D

Yep, took it up a couple of months ago and haven't looked back. I don't personally know anyone else in the UK who flosses though, it's more of an American thing, which is a shame.

No, not at all, I really should do but it makes my skin crawl. I brush and rinse with mouthwash and that will do.

No, I don't. I hate the idea of inserting something between my teeth and making it move (things like toothpicks as well...), makes me shudder. A lot. Still, I brush regularly and I reckon my dental hygiene is up to scratch. My dentist never complains about it, anyway.

I floss every day. I use those pre-prepared plastic molds that hold a small piece of floss taut for you. I can't use floss curled around my fingers to save my life. My mouth hole is too small; I can't get my fat fingers far in enough to floss my middle and back teeth. The plastic floss holder things make it possible, not to mention much easier in general. Even the back teeth are easy to reach and clean. Plus, once I finish, I get to try to "make a basket" by flicking them at my trash bin. Makes me feel good and stuff when I sink one.

I started flossing every day after my dentist told me I have a genetic disease that causes my mouth to generate bacteria that tends to generate tartar much more than a normal person. Thus, if I don't develop good dental hygiene, my teeth will fall out of my gums. Also, I have to use Crest Pro Health for the rest of my life (or any toothpaste with this certain chemical), because it counter acts what I have well. Well, it was something like that anyway. I forget the nitty gritty and the name of the disease. Oh well, guess it doesn't matter if I keep up the good habits I've set.

After your gums stop bleeding everytime you do it, flossing makes your teeth feel amazing afterward.
Wow, 2 paragraphs, guess I like talking about really mundane things...

No, I brush. I've only ever had one filling, and it was in a baby tooth. Often I'll pop to the dentist and he'll just clean off a little bit of coffee-buildup and I'll be out in ten minutes. :p

I didn't floss the first 19 years of my life. After going to the dentist and dealing with that painful experience, I decided to actually start flossing. It was really easy, since I already brush my teeth in the shower, and for some reason it's always easier to do stuff while showering as opposed to doing it right before going to bed. Now I do it nearly everyday.

I have never flossed my teeth, ever, and the only time I had to visit a dentist was to A) have my braces fitted and B) have fillings because I didn't brush my teeth at all when I was younger.

Also why are there no sensible options, like 'no, because i brush my teeth properly in the first place'?

If there were any floss in my house.

Floss tends to appear in my house once every 9-10 weeks (Randomly) and it lasts a while since I seem to be the only person who uses it. When it does appear, I use it every day/every other day.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa... whoa.

Our wives are not fat! Not with the amount of tennis/croquet they play.

[sub][sub]also, crumpets are awesome, how dare you....[/sub][/sub]

OT: No, no I don't. I don't like things going inbetween my teeth. I'm scared of rope burn on my gums. (Yes, I'm serious).

Well I can't use normal floss since I have braces. But bits of food does tend to get caught between my teeth and braces that brushing can't get out. So I use something like this.

Toothpick on one side, bristles on the other. I personally like the feeling on something massaging my gums, it feels nice.

I use these things.

Because, as Hedberg said, making flossing a habit to begin with is about as hard kicking smoking. Need all the help I can get.

No, my dental hygiene really isn't the best in general to be honest, though I think that was pretty much always going to be the case anyway given how much coffee I consume on a weekly basis. :D <-----(See, toothless smile right for you there)

Not really.

I brush my teeth once a day, at least. Won't lie and say I do it twice, because that rarely happens (I hate the "minty fresh" taste that is supposed to occur).

No I never used one at all (well I had used it once to try it) nor does my dentist ever mention to me using one. The only time I heard that it's recommend using one was a girl in my English class during my retake as she work as a part time nurse (we were doing a vocal presentation and she told us about her job).
