I'm the oldest of three boys, and I LOVE my parents.

My mother is easily stressed, but makes sure to plan for every meticulous detail. It's safe to say that her tenacity has rubbed off on me. She makes sure that she's early for anything she does. She puts on a friendly, brave face no matter how crappy her day was. She's the first one to notice small details. And she's amazingly good at working with kids with Autism (a good thing, considering both my brothers and I have some form of Autism.). I've almost mastered all these traits, and you wouldn't believe how much better my life is for it. And if I have a life problem, I know that she's the first person I can talk to.

My dad is, without a doubt, my best friend in the whole world. He's a fellow nerd/geek like me, and we can agree on just about anything. He has a unique sense of humor, which I've definitely inherited. If there's something nerd or hobby related, I can talk to him about it. I'm struggling to type out how much I love my father, because words just aren't enough.

Really, my parents have taught me the dual-nature of life. Mom taught me how to do well in the world, be a good worker, and function in everyday society. Dad taught me how to have fun, how to make people laugh, and how to see the little moments of pleasure in life. Words are not enough to tell how blessed I am to have such wonderful parents.

*sniff* Sorry, just something in my eye...

I get along with my dad really well, but my mum... there's rather more friction there. I stay out of her way as much as I can so we usually get on OK.

I have a sibling, and I've always been on good/neutral terms with my parents.
We don't interact as much as I get the notion is the norm though.
Never really went through that rebellious phase. I've always seen my parents as fairly reasonable. Their motives in most cases are rational and I can understand why they do the things they do.
Although I'm seriously considering no longer accepting the whole "fish for dinner every other day" my dad just recently decided to go through with. I'm really not fond of seafood, and my dad knows far too few recipes to keep it anything near interesting.

I have a better/closer relationship with my parents then basically anyone I consider friends/acquintences IRL (which isn't an overly high standard as I've kind of become increasingly dispassionate and distant with them), they've given me much more than I derserve and can likely ever repay. So yeah, we get along pretty well.

I'm an only child, and I mostly get along with my parents. Sure we fight over trivial things, and none of us are perfect on any level, but we've never let those little arguments stop us from loving each other and getting along.

I have an older brother and get along great with my father. My mother and I, however, have a history of yelling, disagreements and silent treatment. To be fair, my brother also can't stand her and my father was totally fine with her just moving out one day. By all accounts, she's just a tremendously spoiled *****.

This leaves me with a bit of a problem when it comes to voting on your poll. Neither option really applies, so I refrained from voting.

I have a great relationship with my parents and I think my siblings are the biggest reason why. I'm the oldest child and I am a substantial amount more mature than my slightly younger sister. I never give my parents trouble and I look after my sisters when they need me to so they respect and treat me like a third adult in the family. It's awesome actually because I have a lot of friends who's parents have no respect or trust in them. (of course they don't deserve it)
