Poll: Do you give a damn that the new berserk films out?

Ok, so recently the newest Berserk Film has been released in films in Japan. And, judging from the reviews i've read of it, most of them say it was good (Not perfect mind, but still good and faithful to the series). Yet...i have to ask the question: With the absolutely non-existent reaction to the Berserk Films release, does anyone around here actually give a damn that it's actually out now? Or, is it not that important...or, are you like some other people here, and didn't realize there was a new berserk film?

I unfortunately don't have the full anime yet, because Japan hates everyone who isn't Japan and have decided to be evil and not release it abroad yet, but i do have two things that i can offer from the film:

and...the intro to the film (Which, for all that is good in the world, is appropriate to the series and doesn't give you mood whiplash to end all mood whiplash. It's also done by Susumu Hirasawa!)-

First thing, geez no one heard of it? Ok granted I never heard of it either until a certain abridger abridge the series-
(Fun fact- he does some of the voices for Teamfourstar DBZ abridged).

Since I never watch the series itself (there are too many anime I want to watch but never got the time to watch it all), I do watch to check out the film since from the brief summeries I've read and seen from abridge series, it look awesome.

But yeah, that Intro i posted? He did the song in that. No confirmation on any rendition of Forces in the films yet though...

No word on the film english dub yet but...yes, the VA for Goku in DBZ did infact have a role as a side character in that series. The current voice actor for Dr. Eggman in the recent Sonic games also happened to play a minor villain in the original anime too so...make of that what you will.

Meh. Call me when it gets released on DVD. Berserk is one of my top anime of all time but I will wait for the dub. The Berserk series dub was way better than the japanese.

....but seriously, caps lock fury aside, I say "cool beans" to this. I've been keeping up with the manga for christ knows how long now and a new movie just sweetens the whole experience. I'll keep an eye out for the release in the future (assuming they give it to us at all, that is).

I haven't read the manga and I have yet to see the anime past ep 3 or 4

But I like the idea of a Berserk film.

My first impressions on the video:
1. That sword looks kinda small...
2. I find your lack of Forces disturbing...

This looks like shit! ...There, I said it.

I absolutely worship the Berserk manga, and I was sorta looking forward to the new movie, but those first 10 minutes were simply terrible.

It looks like a cutscene from Valkyria Chronicles, not a gothic, dark fantasy epic. I don't mind some CGI in a traditional animated movie, but this is on par with the awfulness that is the Dragon Age anime.
I'm not a fan of the original Berserk anime, but at least that had some shred of aesthetic and atmosphere. This?! This is nothing; A bunch of crummy looking CGI dummies swinging swords at eachother.

Anime really needs to stop doing CGI, because they suck at it. Unless they're Studio Ghibli or Gainax.

this is such an idiotic statement.

it's not released abroad yet because:

-it hasn't been licensed yet(this takes time, foreign companies have to decide if it's worth bringing to other markets, and then distribution deals have to be worked out)
-it hasn't been subbed or dubbed yet(this also takes time)

neither of which is the fault of a single person in Japan.
