I raised my brother from age 6-12 and my half-sister from practically birth to age 5, so I had enough child rearing when I was a teenager. And my own mother was quite selfish and not very "motherly."
At 21, I decided I did not want to be a mother (and am way to selfish - guess it runs in the family) or participate in the "joys" of motherhood and got my tubes tied.
No kids = peace and longevity. Many recent studies have shown people without children are much happier (and healthier) than those with children. Parents simply don't have the time to invest in themselves, therefore they invest in their mini-me's.
In 2009, it costs in upwards of $200,000 to raise a child from birth to age 17 (figures haven't been tabulated for 2010). And this doesn't include paying for college.
I'd rather spend that hard-earned money on improving my own life.

Apart from my own family, I hate kids. They're usually little cunts, so I prefer to just hate them all and then let them prove themselves to me; if they aren't a shit then I'll like them.

I get along with +7 years old kids... I kinda hate taking care of babies though... I'm 21, don't have kids of my own, but yeah that's were I stand... I like kids, but I hate babies (they're adorable, but I despise taking care of them). Sure some of the kids out there are spoiled brats... but watchu gonna do? we've all being through it... I kinda apply a basic rule when talkin' to children: threat them like equals... I remember I never liked it when someone older came up to me and said: "what do you know? u're just a kid"... always made me mad & I always tried to get "revenge" for remarks like that... so I try not to use those words around them.

OP, this forum is a hot-bed for child-hating, so this poll isn't going to be really fair. I personally very much like children as long as they're reasonably well behaved which most are (atleast where I live), and I have an adorable younger sister who I love to take care of
