Poll: Do you hate Quick Time Events?

God of War pulled them off quite nicely. No, I don't hate quick time events in God of War...

A cutscene used to be a chance to set the controller down and flex the ol' hands and relax for a second.

Not anymore. Can't even blink through a cutscene in many games without risking arbitrary death.

So, hate them. Mostly. Sometimes they're no big thing just a different way to press some buttons for a second or two, but in a cutscene?! c'mon...

When done bad like Resident Evil 4, then yes I hate them. But they are done quite well in God of War.

Don't hate them, but should only be used to make you whisper "Holy shit..." while the boss gets absolutely demolished.

I only like them if they are completely necessary like Kingdom Hearts 2...how else were you gonna beat a boss?

Sometimes they work. Like when something is a quick reaction it makes a little more realistic.

Only when they aren't arbitrary or tacked on. God of War, Kingdom Hearts 2, and others have done it right, but games like Clive Barker's Jericho are just stupid and out of nowhere when it comes to achievements. I hate that game with a passion.

Yes i hate them i broke my first ps3 controller because of them. Oh wait they were good in dark cloud how they would warn you when they would start.

i enjoy them just fine in certain games.

Exactly. In some games it feels like they were thrown in just for the sake of it.
