Poll: Do you hate the M16 in Call Of Duty 4?

I dont know about anyone else, but the M16 in COD4 makes it too easy to make kills or be killed. i understand new players using it, but people that have been through prestige mode 3 times?
at least half the times i die, i see that stupid gun and its three-round burst
does anyone else hate it as much as me?

lol i pissed of one of my friends with the unlockable Desert Eagle ... the precesion of the thing is awesome xD shot him in the head from on end of the map to other xD ... he thought i used sniper lol

I've devoted my time to using LMGs and RPGs in CoD4 to piss everybody off.

P90 is a lot more OP in CoD4 in my opinion though.

I would agree that the p90 is more overpowered, and that the m16 isn't really a huge advantage so it doesn't bother me too much (as much as juggernaut sometimes seemingly triples your health!).

Also, the g3 is better then the m16

im surprised at myself here, because usually i say "there is no n00b weapon, it depends how you use each one", but the M16 is stupidly over powered
i used it once, and shot and killed guy who technically wasnt in the crosshair in ONE TAP OF THE TRIGGER. i use the M4 and P90 silenced

No, I especially hate the M14. Single shot, but a walrus of a recoil. HOW in the world you're supposed to get 150 headshots with it... well I'm still trying to find out. Also I use the MP44 as an SMG rather than an assault rifle (bandolier, double tap, extreme conditioning).

Other than that all weapons are fair play really, and I've managed to nail people using M16 or snipers from nuts distances with any of the machineguns you can name combined with deeper penetration and extra damage perks. If you get good enough, you can kill anybody with anything, and you won't really care what they're using because if they really bother you that much, you can exit the server, make the same kit they're using and use it against them.

Besides how is the M16 (a three burst rifle) better than the M4(fully auto)? I've been sniping with the M4, and absolutely hate the M16.

well, if ur really good at cod 4 u shouldnt be getting beaten by the M16, the M16 should be afraid of u.
saying this, i luv the M16 coz even when noobs use it, i beat them coz im better, i dont blame the gun.

It's only over-powered on the PC though...
The M16 isn't the best weapon or whatever, but it has the best attachment; the n00b-tube.

How can you be pissy at the standard gun? Everything is laid out for you to use as you see fit. The M16 isn't half as 'cheap' as the grenade launcher which almost guarantees a 1:1 KDR.

Especially on consoles when one's accuracy isn't perfect a 3-round burst weapon is immediately handicapped from an auto in general, hectic combat.

The M16 rewards calmness and accuracy. It is probably the best rifle over mid-long but certainly not in mid and mid-close fights, especially with multiple opponents in the room.

My personal set up for Deathmatch is M16 + Stopping Power + Steady Aim. At mid-close distance I don't even have to draw my gun up which turns the M16 into a half-shotgun.

Desert Eagle and knife as primaries, M4 if I have to use ranged, special grenades (3 stun grenades), dead silence, juggernaut. Yet to find a better combination for my playing style.

Oddly enough i think i've managed more kills with the knife than anything else.

M16 requires a bit of skill to use well.

a bit, but its accurate and can kill in one or two bursts, meaning the opposition cant get more than a bullet off unless theyre behind you
ive just been on COD4, and although for the most part my kill death is good and i am murdering the M16 n00bs with almost any weapon
but when i do die, its an M16 user with red dot sight

The M16 takes a good user to master thats why I use it.
M16+ACOG Scope= Hard to master but kick ass!

I dont hate I but it dos get frustrating when you keep dieing, by the tree round burst, but you need a certain amout of skill to realy get good, and the way you move and position yourself is also diffrent.
Me I like the G3 red dot, p1 extra amo, p2 deep pernatation, p3 steedy aim.

I don't totally understand why people hate it so much? It does take some skill to use. When I can 4th or 5th prestige and at a level one rank still own 55+ on a regular basis all the way up the ranks, that should say something about the skill of those 55+ and not something about the strength of the most basic of weapons. next complaint I'm gonna hear is about the MP5 or the shotgun in close quarters maps...

And for the record everyone hates the P90, the R700+ACOG, the modded D.Eagles, and all the other crazyness going on out there (if you have ever used or even thought about useing Juggernaut, your argument is void to begin with). If all you can do is complain then either get your skill up or go play another game.
