I have a dog that's super cute and really old.Her name is Týra which is the Icelandic word for a small speck of light. She's called that because she has a light spot on her face and tail.

Yup, got a cat, Siberian one. Name's Odin, the most magnificent brown tabby mackerel ever. It's the perfect cat for allergic people, such as me!

I really wanted a cat two years ago, so we got two; one orange taby and a black straight hair. I really loved them for the week we could keep them until I realized I was allergic to cats, so we had to give them back...

Right now I want a Bird more than anything.

I have four cats:

One just sleeps and eats and is great for cuddling.

The second one was found abandoned and has exactly zero cat instincts and I'm just waiting for her to start barking.

The third one is another one we adopted and we don't let her into the house because she doesn't have any manners. She is missing an ear and is really fat (think of Garfield just fatter) and she always loves a good fight. With any animal at anytime and anywhere.

The last one is a devil incarnate. He is big and black and scarred everywhere. He's missing a tooth and carries a few scars from fights. The only cat he's afraid of is cat no. 3.
He fights any animal that's stupid enough to look directly at him. He can open doors and climb anywhere. The only reason we keep him around is that he was breaking in our house and stealing food so it's cheaper to just feed him and let him do whatever he wants. But I pity the fool that tries to cuddle him. I pet him a little but only when I'm wearing some leather gloves for my protection.

You can guess that the cat no. 4 is my favorite.

Two [a href="http://www.kennels.co.uk/Hound/Hamiltonstovare.html"]dogs[/a], two cats of unknown breed, 1 chicken (I had four, but the dogs got 2 and the third one just fell over and died for no obvious reason), and a pond containing numerous goldfish (We have no idea how many are in there. They just keep breeding)

I had to put my cat to sleep on the 4th June 2009 - not that the date is burned in my cerebral cortex for all time. Yes it was the right (only) thing to do. Yes it was the hardest thing I have ever done.

I share a home with 4 cats belonging to a housemate and they are all just wonderful.

I will never stop loving cats. Even though my heart is broken :(

Sorry to hear as a cat lover myself...I lost one of my Burmese 6 months ago when she escaped my yard and got hit by a car :(..I am still devastated about it as she was only 2 years old.

Anyway on the brightside I still have 5 cats. 2 Burmese, 2 Siamese and a Persian. She (the persian, Kassie) is really old (16) and ONLY likes me...She is really nasty to anyone who comes near me and she has cost me a girlfriend in the past lol.

I have always been an animal lover in general but to me cats are just something special.

BTW I love your profile pic :)

/tuna to your grand old lady =D That is one hell of a decent age for a pedigree animal. And let's be honest, you are her kitten so she must protect you and see off people who she judges are not good enough...

And sorry to hear about your lost moggy - sadly if they want to get out it can be very hard indeed to stop them.

I have three cats, two are brown tabbies and are brother and sister, and one is a black cat who was a street cat but we adopted him. His back legs are kind of stiff and he's missing half his tail from his life on the street. I also have two gerbils, one black and one white.

I actually feed her tinned salmon mostly mixed with rice. She loves it. She was the first cat I had and I still have her but even though she is old she doesn't seem fraile yet. She is just lazy and never leaves the house. I think she just feeds off the crazy energy generated by the burmese constantly being on the go. Man those guys never stop.

I have my yard netted in so they can go outside but it was just one of those "off guard moments" when I opened the front door and she bolted. Couldn't see where she went and found her a few hours later just around the corner. So some bastard just left her there
