yeah, I have my avatar on my chest (only bigger, of course)...

I'd post a picture to share its awesomeness, but I'm shy like that and without any nearby camera...

Is that even a surprise anymore? Now I'd be more surprised to see a Poll thread that actually HAS a poll....

OT: No not yet, I've got some designs for my left arm and left side of my body though

Not yet, but I'm wanting one. Probably gonna get a Final Fantasy Moogle on me somewhere. Also thought about getting a small triforce on the underside of my right wrist.

No, I don't, and a lot of the people my age that I know are getting them seem to be doing it for completely silly reasons. Nothing about them makes them think "I really want to get a tattoo", it is more "Tattoos are so cool! I should get one". They are going from the motivation to the subject, rather than from the subject to the motivation ... does that make sense?

I have no problem with people getting tattoos, I just think that most people near my age aren't getting them for the right reasons.

We all know that person. It has to be something that'll be relevant to you even down the line.

OT: Bouncing Souls logo on my forearm with "Born Free" where the band's name would be. Getting my next one soon.

Nah, too permanent. I'd rather get a shirt. Go ahead, though. Just make sure you'll still like it when you're 60. Very important.

i have the crest of clan campbell on my left arm just under the shoulder. Looks sweet. Had a friend draw it from a couple of diffent images. It was a bit pricey but I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. It's slightly saddening to think of how long I've had it.

Yeah, I got two; a tribal dragon on my left shoulder, and a Hellspawn sigil on the right.

I've got 2 of them.

One is Mjølnir [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mj%C3%B6lnir] (Thor's hammer) inside a classical Norse pattern, topped by 2 crossing dragon heads.

The 2nd one is just text.
Says "It's a good day to die" and is placed beneath the hammer tattoo.

I can't wait for the current generation to get older. . .what will the sight of 70 year olds with tramp-stamps do for tattoo sales?

Don't have one. I thought about it in my twenties when I was in fantastic shape, but my thirties haven't been kind to my body. I would hate to have a tattoo expand a la Frederick Dukes style.

Nah, I don't really like tattoos. I think the statement I once heard that best describes my opinions on them is this: They are permanent marks of temporary feelings.

I have a tatoo on my right arm, right below my shoulder.
It's the Norwegian Flag, I got it 5 days after the terrorist attack in Oslo.
I had already ordered it 3 weeks before, but it seems a lot more significant after that day.
