Why yeah. Every language is, I guess. I can imagine the laughs french must have seeing people trying to read their words =PAce of Spades said:Isn't English fun?![]()
My friends tell me that Latin doesn't have that problem, what with having no word order. I still couldn't bring myself to take it as a class though.Daye.04 said:Why yeah. Every language is, I guess. I can imagine the laughs french must have seeing people trying to read their words =P
But I mean. In norwegian we have the same stuff. If you don't insert the words at the right place, it can easily be quite amusing.
Latin is kinda cool though. It's fun to know a couple of words. Like ubi. Whenever I ask "ubi?" no one understands shit =PAce of Spades said:My friends tell me that Latin doesn't have that problem, what with having no word order. I still couldn't bring myself to take it as a class though.
What does ubi mean anyway?Daye.04 said:Latin is kinda cool though. It's fun to know a couple of words. Like ubi. Whenever I ask "ubi?" no one understands shit =P
But what grinds my gears is when people write "ect" "E Ceterea t"? What the deuce is that supposed to mean? I mean. Okay that you don't have to have a specific order in the words, but cutting a word in half, and stick the letter on the ent of the term? What the deuce, you know. It's supposed to be "Et ceterea" ... It just gets kinda annoying when everyone is doing it =P
"where" It's allways fun to use that word, since no one knows what it means. It's like "Dude. I gotta go. I've got shit to do" "Ubi?" "Uhm ... No?" =PAce of Spades said:What does ubi mean anyway?
I think I'll start doing that to my non-latin friends.Daye.04 said:"where" It's allways fun to use that word, since no one knows what it means. It's like "Dude. I gotta go. I've got shit to do" "Ubi?" "Uhm ... No?" =PAce of Spades said:What does ubi mean anyway?
