Poll: Do you have any Escapist 'Friends'

Hm, I have 3 escapist's on my friends list although I don't really talk with them much. There are also some people that I am familiar with and tend to pay more attention to when I see their posts. People's posts that I make sure to read if I see them are:
Mortai Gravesend, Daystar Clarion, Caramel Frappe(on my friends list), Revnak, and a few more people. As for me, I really like drawing and animation. I love dogs, like way more than any other animal. It's to the point where I can't even watch a movie or show where something bad happens to a dog. I dislike spiders greatly and it doesn't help that the basement where I am staying has spider webs all over the ceiling. I also think it's worth noting that I feel that I have learned a lot from the escapist since joining and participating in the forums. I think differently about a lot of issues that I had never even bothered to think about before I started coming here.

I know absolutely no one, I basically just come on to read people's opinions about various things and input my own. I don't really communicate with people outside of threads.

Well, I added a few but I rarely if ever talk to them. Most people here I recognize much like you all do. Redlin5, for example. Does that guy post in every thread?

Most of the people I added were because we had a conversation either through PM or quotes and we seemed to get along pretty well. I don't really stalk their posts or anything, though I might quote them if I see them post.

So, which answer says that?

I talk to some of them sometimes, and a couple of them more than that since I belong in the same user group and we chat there. Other than that, I don't really talk to anyone else here unless someone's quoting me.

IRL? I've only met one person that comes here and we never exchanged usernames, which was odd. The best part? I was at an Irish pub for lunch and he was my bartender for the day, he even bought me a Guinness!

Sadly, that's the only person.

I certainly recognize some avatars but I couldn't associate them with specific posts or opinions. So far as I'm concerned you're all strangers who share similar interests.

I totally have a few friends on the Escapist. I'd consider Vault101 one of them (ack, I need to message you back!), as well as Caramel Frappe (hey, ME multiplayer again soon?). I'm also becoming so with Diablo1099, due to our interactions in a particular RP involving villainy and (in my case) lots of fire.

I'm not really involved in the more personal things here (user groups, forum games/RP, that kind of thing) or anything organized outside this site, so not really. Although several of the people on my Friends list are good people and I've talked to a couple over Steam chat at least once.

I consider all my escapist friends to be close friends. Hell, my sister is dating a guy I met on the Escapist.

There are a few people here that I consider friends and they are awesome. I may not have met any of them IRL but that doesn't matter to me because I value their friendship all the same. You all know who you are.......

I have no real life friends or friends I've met elsewhere on this site.

I've been a fairly active member here for just over 2 years now and I still haven't really made any friends here to be honest. I have people in my friends list from user groups but I've never really gotten into a conversation with any of them.

There are people behind these usernames and avatars, people with personalities, each one unique. These personalities you can see reflected by what they write as this is their views, their own voice. I talk to people on here and I recognise them and like them. I talk to some people outside of the Escapist, on Twitter, Skype, Facebook, and I would even like to meet some of these people in person. I know these people on here, maybe not as well as I know people I meet day to day in real life, but I know them well enough to like them and consider them friends.

Again, yes, I do have friends here, and I wouldn't trade any of them for the world.

There are a handful (who I won't name 'cause that would be creepy) that I recognise and am always happy to see posting because they say good or clever things, but I hadn't even thought of trying to get to know them like that.

Someone friended me once, I've never talked to him/her, though, so I just have this one 'friend' on my profile and I don't actually know who they are. o.o
And I never pm people, it just hasn't occurred to me to do it!

A few of my IRL friends have mentioned looking at stuff on the Escapist although I don't know if they go on the forums, I haven't recognised any usernames but if they saw mine they'd know who I was because I use it for evvvverything. (Which is... maybe not all that clever?)

Alright, so... I love sugary treats (so much so that I have major teeth problems at the age of 22), I hate breaking the rules (because I get super stressed if someone has a reason to shout at me or punish me), something weird about me is that I'll start crying at the slightest provocation (today I tuned into Cartoon Network and caught a scene where some character I didn't recognise saw his dad get stabbed in battle and was all NUOOOOOOOO and I started to well up), and I come on here two or three times a day (to procrastinate) and always bring up the same tabs: Gaming Discussion, Off-Topic Discussion, Religion and Politics and Advice Forum.
